I'd say Chris better buy a couple pen guys, Avi, Alexi, and Gordon dinner tonight! Last year that 3-1 lead just wouldn't have held up, and he'd be stuck with another ND.

Great game Chris Sale!!:thumb:

Thankfully Abreu's two boneheaded plays didn't cost the team a much needed W today

Great to see the bats wake up a bit yesterday!! Laroche, Abreu, Cabrera, just gotta figure Eaton gonna heat up soon. Killed my fantasy score (I have Annibel Sanchez!) but I don't care...:thumb::thumb:

I'm excited for you Sox fans with Rodon's pending arrival! Exciting times for Chicago baseball.

I know the reports state that he will begin out of the pen, but what's the feel for when he'll join the rotation?

IMO, Rodon's "stay" in the pen will be determined by how Danks and Noesi fare in the next 2-3-4 starts. Even though Quintana was throwing up lollypops yesterday, I think spots 1 through 3 are solid, but the back end? Yeah, right. Honestly, I'd demote Danks right now, but I don't think he'd do much good out of the pen, and that frickin salary of his...well, that was a mistake IMO...

So Danks goes full on Ryan Rayburn...and serves up one on a silver platter. As Hawk said, as soon as it left the bat, well, it's 1-0 Cleveland.
Danks...:mad::mad:

Bob, I'm in complete agreement with you about Danks. His career peaked many years ago, even before his injury. Rodon will be starting before too long.

Ventura is a tooly POS. WOW.

Did you see the "altercation"? That could have got real out of hand. Shark was ready to kick some arse!! And they tossed him and Sale, and Yost is talking to Sale like "You better listen to me..."

Weird...

Didn't get to see what happened. Synopsis? My guess is a series of hit by pitches?

There was a plunking on Abreu, then a plunking on Mutstakas, no real big deal. Early in the game. Then Eaton hit a come backer, Ventura took his time, yelled at Eaton words that included F***, and game on!

I sure we'll get the lip reading version tomorrow, if not already. As Stoney said, "I've become an expert in lip reading, I know what he said..."

Sorry Illini, found it, Ventura, prior to the throw, told Eaton to "Go F himself"...

Look at the punch being thrown at Samardzija. I kind of hope that would have landed because it would have been minimal damage to Jeff and probably would have been a great deal done to the wrist and hand. I thought that was actually a good punch when watching the video but here it looks like a limp wristed sissy in a slap fight.

It came nowhere close to landing. Pretty much your typical baseball fight.

Another shot of Samardzija I just came across, presumably right before the one I posted earlier -
