Great point. The league should have a lead official(s) watching the games on something other than the farcical hooded screen on the field to make the calls on replay and get them right. Use judgement on those types of hits. There was clearly no intent to lead with the crown of the helmet to hurt the QB. He made a tackle to try to dislodge the ball and their helmets made contact. No way that deserves ejection and missing the first half of the next game. Common sense.I mean we're asking pass rushers to be physical enough to break through a double team, gently tackle the QB, etc. I get that the rules are there for safety.... but if you have replay, use it? Games are already obnoxiously long and commercial flooded. I don't care if it's 4 hours or 5, get the calls right.
