Biggest challenge is to get myke henry to play consistently. Wired to score but need to be more active on defense.

Groce on Henry: he's wired to score. Challenged him on the defensive end. Matter of making him consistent in his production.

Says langford needs consistency with his motor. Makes wow plays and then disappears. Bertrand fits in uptempo style. Has to value the ball.

Says sam mclaurin has gained repect of teammates because he is a matto guy. Have to rebound to run and get out in transition.

If Coach Groce is given enough time, he's gonna win and win big at Illinois. Hopefully Shad Khan, Colangelo, and Jimmy John start saving their pennies.

In 4-5 years John Groce is going to be a VERY hot commodity.

"Egwu made 73 out of 100 3 pointers last week. Will move him around and won't stay in the post. Will make him a moving target."

That's somewhere right around 73% or so from three.

Maybe it is just me but Groce just seems to Ooze confidence. I don't want this to be a Beckman bashing time but Beckman almost seems like he over compensates.

Groce just "Is" confident and knows exactly what he is doing down to the last T.

Honest, charismatic and with energy to spare. I can now see why we were given a chance, in such a short time frame, to land some of the big national recruits this year. Give this guy some time and he'll produce. I think we'll surprise some people in the B1G this year.

It's amazing how good all college players shoot unguarded or in pick up games against non D1 athletes.

Loved everything he had to say…..

…except he totally ducked the question about why he couldn’t save team USA in the Ryder Cup…..

  • From the sound of things, they are going to be playing McLaurin and Egwu together quite a bit (even sounds like they might be the interior starters). Griffey isn't the only big man capable of stepping out and hitting a shot.
  • We aren't going to be playing as fast as some on here want or expect.
  • Might play 9, might only play 7. We know Abrams, Richardson, Paul and Bertrand will play on the outside because there aren't many options. Egwu and McLaurin were singled out for praise on the interior. Griffey was getting talk earlier. After that? I see 7 for sure, with a couple of other guys having to work their way into the rotation.

I agree 100%. I can see how he can sell himself without selling himself. He's just a special coach with an unbelievable knack for exuding confidence.

Is it just me or does Nanna look huge? He looks like he's got a full head on just about all other players. Is it possible he grew an inch or two? Could he be a legit 7'?

It was a subtle nut punch since they always got upset for no one posting their articles.

Sure let's go with that

But yes I was talking about

Donut Bros
