Jerome is in town for tryouts with the sauk valley predators. It was reported that he was the first player to arrive today.

He did but the team has a try out every year.
He played okay last year. Just hope he showed up in better shape this year. |

Hope he makes the team. I was going to go to a game last year and got busy and forgot all about them. I will have to pay closer attention this year.
good luck to them all. __________________ One does not simply walk into Mordor. |

As expected he made the team... how could they turn down a former McDonalds All American, last year he helped sell some tix... but here is a good little read on him

While I was disappointed with his brief tenure as an Illini and the problems he brought upon himself once he left, I hope he does well with this opportunity.

To be honest it was just a pretty stupid comment. He played more than one year for Waukegan.

Something about our greatest success will not be as good as his greatest failures..........

Perhaps he just needs to sign a contract showing the team is making a commitment to JR therefore showing cause for the move? Just saying so in court may not be enough for the judge to grant the release.

I wondered about that too. I decided if that was how the judge felt he would have said so. But then I have been wrong before and will be again.

Sportsline today talked about some probation issues that likely led to the ruling. Seems he has been missing appointments. I'm still rooting for him, but it just doesn't seem like the light has come on yet.

They briefly discussed this in the article. The Richmond's have some reasons/excuses for this. I am not sure the judge accepts them.
