I think the 2017 class is the perfect storm for Illinois. A very deep class in varous positions in which Groce has pursuef for awhile before othets had a chance. Also many of the conference rivals have priorities outside of these players. Even with IU and Goodwin, IU has several instate players theyprefer over him.

It seems that Tilmon and Goodwin are top priorities, obviously. And based on the Lewis visit the staff is interested in somebody with some size and versatility regarding the wing/forward position. I guess that would put verge in the c column right now. JMO.

Agree. Check out what he does to Tyger at about 35 seconds on this. I love watching him play but he seems to be a handful off the court.

I have yet to hear solid evidence that he is trouble.... I would rank Verge as my 3rd or 4th on my 2017 wish list
What makes his situation complicated? Grades? Trouble with the law? Handlers?Something else? (Like I said, i don't know much about him.)
Rumors of off court issues combined with the whole multiple high schools thing. I mean he left his last one mid year which doesn't ever really seem like a positive thing. I'm not sure he even ended up playing organized ball this season.
I haven't seen who he is with this spring yet; still the stl eagles with goodwin and tilmon?
I think he is playing with Meanstreets. It raises a few eyebrows that he went to a prep school and left after only a semester. Could simply be homesick or could have been other things.

Sounds like the staff isn't pursuing Verge beyond sending an occasional letter. Might be a good DePaul fit. Sounds like he will attend 4 hs in 4 years.
He can do much better than DePaul.
According to one of his former high school classmates he has had major disciplinary issues. I was told he left Willowbrook H.S. because he was not going to be allowed back.
I thought his mom was kind of hot. :thumb:
This is an interesting question, another example of recruiting is fluid.
