Extremely small sample size, but D Fowler's projected WAR is quite impressive also....
In each of the first 2 games, Fowler has had the same number of total bases as the entire Angles team.

I am sure thats a reasonable expectation. I however do not expect reasonable this year. I expect unreal results. Id like to see 20 or more wins in that time frame. If it happens awesome! If not, whatever.
Oh I know. I just choose to hope for that. It doesnt or wont disappoint me if it doesnt happen though. Winning 100 games would be fantastic and I actually expect at least that. We won 97 last year and did nothing but upgrade. As well as all of our rookies are now second year players.Playing .833 ball for 15% of the regular season schedule is not rational to expect or hope for in my opinion. This team is still very young and will go through rough patches like every team does. If they win 100 games it will be a fantastic year playing in this division. I'll take 16 wins and be happy with a god solid start.
Also love the condensed version on MLB.com Media Center.
Yeah, I was looking for the affiliate guide yesterday but all I could find was the list from last year. Here's my best guess on some of these channels based on last year. FYI - I would be in mediacom territory just outside of Champaign.
If the game is listed as ABC7 (WLS) in Chicago, it is likely on WCIX. For me this is channel 3.2.
If the game is listed as WGN Chicago, it is likely on WBIU (CW). For me this is channel 23.1.
If the game is on Comcast Sports Net (CSN) Chicago, I believe that is your only option. In my area this is mediacom QAM channel 55.15. It looks like CSN+ is mediacom QAM channel 58.6. Since NBC Sports has the same ownership as Comcast Sport Net, I was hoping the NBC Sports streaming options would add CSN games (cable/satellite login required), but so far no luck.
If the game is on ESPN/ESPN2 you can stream the game on a variety of devices, provided you have a cable/satellite login. ESPN is QAM Channel 55-5 on mediacom around here, ESPN2 is 55-13.
Not sure if this was discussed here, but there was a class action lawsuit against MLB.TV that reached a settlement recently. It looked like there may eventually be hope for them offering a streaming option for in-market games (i.e. no blackouts) on MLB.TV. Unfortunately that day isn't here yet.
At home you dont. Neither do I. Living in Denver, I get every single Cubs game. However, I am on a business trip to Chicago right now, staying in a hotel that doesn't get the local sports channels. Because of blackout restrictions, IN CHICAGO, I can't watch the game on my personal devices. Absurd.I don't have much room to complain compared to some of you guys. I have cable. I have all the channels that carry the games. I'm not subject to blackouts.
Still, the first 10 or 12 Cubs games are being carried on 5 different channels. That's ridiculous. Hopefully much of this will be sorted out when the CSN contract expires, and all the games that aren't on national broadcasts will be broadcast in the same place.

It's unreal and a joke man... I've lived in central Illinois in Decatur my whole life, so watching the games was never a problem. Got every single one of them.
And now I attend school at SIUe and am not able to get any of the games, in addition to them being blacked out with an mlb tv subscription. I'm in Edwardsville, Illinois for god's sake.
So, I have to stream all the games on a crappy laptop feed. It's going to make me go crazy lol.
Are there any Cubs fans in Edwardsville? I would think it would be dominated by Cardinal fans.
Is an MLBtv premium package still subject to blackouts? Or is that for the smaller packages?
Kyles injury doesn't look good but as long as it isn't season ending should be fine.
The Cubs have since announced Schwarber has been diagnosed with a sprained ankle. X-rays were negative and will go for an MRI on Friday to make sure nothing else is wrong structurally.
Kyle Schwarber diagnosed with ankle sprain after outfield collision
I'm hoping for the best here. Thankfully Fowler wasn't hurt on the play. He's more important to the team than Schwarber at this early stage of the season.
