This could just as well help UCLA with Wilkes. With two 4s in the class, he doesn't have to worry about the possibility of the coach playing him there.

Don't know about that. I think many thought we had a shot with DJack. With Wilkes I don't foresee the classic Illini fan board meltdown that we all know and love. Only a melt-up potentially in this case.

Ludicrisp. Admire boldness, but making definitive statements about what 18 yos are going to do is beyond me. Granted, Kigab is not going to be an Illini. Wilkes, probably not. But Kiir? Hardly a foregone conclusion.
As to today's offer, smart coaches hedge their bets.
If there is a melt down over a kid who is definitely not coming to Illinois, that would be hilarious.
