Except Lowell was #1 in the nation at one point... This kid is a long ways from that.

Lowell was never number 1 in the nation he was the number 1 in class A i Ed Horton was co Mr Basketball in the state with him I do Believe

After watching this its got me thinking Lowell Hamilton

I can totally see that now that you mention it. I've been thinking that Kiir reminds me of The Spider, Anthony Welch. I guess I'm showing my age here. Gulp. :)

Several of us were lamenting the death of the old LAD days, pining for their return. That includes Lincoln.

"Never in" is probably too strong, but making top 3, top 5, or even top 2 does not necessarily mean equal chances. We have made top 2 for Kigab, but everyone seems to think for sometime now that he is going to Oregon. So the same question could be asked, why haven't we been eliminated already?

I think the answer to this question for all of these recruits (not just these two) is that you are dealing with 17-18 yr-old kids who like to make announcements. :)

100% agree. Some kids may have schools in their final 2,3,4 or whatever, for a little suspense while some probably include some schools as a token of respect. But of course us message board warriors are gonna look too deep into things occasionally.

Somebody owes us up there in Canada for playing stooly in the Kagib, XRM and Tyler Ennis recruitments.

I wish people wouldn't be such asses on Twitter. Congratulate the kid and wish him well. It's not difficult.

Salt is reserved for dumb stunts like Cliffmas.

I just went to go see how bad it was. It is one thing to see it coming from 14 year olds, but from adults? Just sad.

Technically, after his JR year of H.S., Street and Smith had him #1. However, he faded quite a bit during his SR year of H.S. and ended up in the 15-25 range according to most recruiting "experts." In the state of IL alone, Horton indeed did pass him up in the rankings.

From scrolling through the Indiana forums, it appears that the consensus is that it's down to Indiana and UCLA with UCLA leading. Seems like we are out on this one.

Why do you assume that another group of message board fans is any more or less knowledgeable than this group of message board fans?

Well, that's a wrap then.

If Groce pulls this off, it will be an utterly epic reaction from the Loser faithful. Not to mention, Wilkes is a baller.

Now that he chose, and at the risk of sounding like sour grapes, I could not have been less excited about him. 150ish ranked recruit at a position we don't need at all, and he's not in state. Don't know if I've ever cared less about being a bridesmaid. I'll take the open scholarship for now.

Agree, would rather get two big men.
