Kevin White is a tough loss. He looked better each week.

I'm still optimistic on Fuller. He had to adjust to a new defense last season and I was expecting better things this season.

Say what you want about Pace's free agent moves (Bennett, Forte, Gould, etc) but ultimately if we want to be contenders year after year it's going to be through the draft. And we won't know how good Pace is at drafting for a couple more years. I'm optimistic because there seems to be a lot more potential and a lot less busts than previous years. But potential isn't good enough. We'll see how it turns out.

The Gould move is really a kick in the pants cause this new guy has already missed like 3 field goals. Kevin White was a great pick, just unlucky so far. Floyd remains to be seen but pace went with speed and athleticism on defense, hardly ever a bad decision.

The one pick I think we really screwed up was McClellan. Mercilus is killing it in Houston. I wanted him because I'm an Illini fan, but I've also been proven right. I should never be proven right over a gm paid millions to not be wrong.

Gashing them on the ground all game. FF to last possession. Good field position. Two timeouts. 2+ minutes left. No runs.

Not often you see a team have 500+ yards of total offense and lose. Howard won't get many easier TDs than the one he did on the catch today. Meredith had a nice catch on his TD too. Heck if Hoyer had gotten 9 more passing yards, he could have had more passing yards than what Brady had today.

Penalties absolutely killed the Bears today, especially in the red zone. I still don't know what Hoyer was doing going for the TD on 4th and 5 rather than trying to get the 1st down. I think this game was really more of an indictment on the Colts than the Bears.

Bears game was highly enjoyable to be at today in spite of the result. It was probably about a 60/40 split in the stadium between Colts and Bears fans.

I liked what Jeremy Werner tweeted after the game. He called it the perfect result for the Bears. Didn't look like garbage but still lost which gives them better draft position.:D

I think that final drive might have lost Hoyer the starting job when Cutler is healthy. But now Cutler has a very short leash. If he isn't moving the ball, Fox will have no problem putting Hoyer in IMO.

Just saw an article on sportsmockery.com that basically said there's three reasons Cutler will get his job back once he's healthy:

1. Scoring efficiency
2. Late-game heroics (namely that he likely would have thrown to Jeffery on that last play)
3. Keeping Alshon happy

I'd like to see what cutler can do now that our run game has gotten to this point. As for the 3 points, I don't know that scoring efficiency was better with cutler but I do feel like I trust him more to win a game late despite his issues, and Alshon is our only consistent weapon outside but he declines so hard with our backups.

One of the positives on the defensive side of the ball in today's game was the Bears getting 5 sacks of Luck, including 3 by Willie Young. Now some of that may have had to do with the ongoing issues that the Colts o-line has had most of the season. But it was still nice to see.

The Bears' game was almost as excruciating as the Illini game the day before. I like the way the offense looks with Hoyer at the controls, but the results are the same. They don't score enough. Penalties turned touchdowns into field goals and the one fumble by Meredith was a killer. Too bad since he was having a breakout game. As good as the defense was against Detroit, they were equally bad yesterday. They did get five sacks, but really didn't have many until they started blitzing in the second half. Most of the afternoon Luck had time to read a magazine in the pocket before he had to throw. They did a good job against the run but Indy really didn't try to establish a rushing game. Gave up something like nine plays of over twenty yards. The secondary had a rough afternoon.

Of some interest to fellow Bears fans:

Marc Trestman just got fired as the Ravens OC/QB coach

Flacco's numbers under Trestman:

64.2% Comp. percentage, 19 TD-16 Int, TD% 3.0, Int% 2.5, Y/A 6.5, Rtg 82.1

Before Trestman

60.5%, 148 TD-90 Int, TD% 4.0, Int& 2.5, Y/A 7.0, Rtg 84.8

Completion percentage went up, but touchdowns went down, yards per attempt went down. Dink and dunk to nowhere.

Bears got 5 sacks due to the deplorable Colts O-line. Grigson needs to get canned due to his gross incompetence in not building a wall around Andrew Luck.

Dominate all game and throw it away at the end. Way too many of those the last couple of years. Such a hard team to watch right now.

It boggles by mind that Hoyer and the Bears offense can put up nearly 400 yards of total offense and only put up 17 points against a pathetic team like Jacksonville. As soon as Cutler is healthy, there is no legitimate reason he shouldn't be starting.

The really sad thing is, other than Howard, what promising young players are we watching develop? Meredith might be another, but this roster is not good.

Baltimore was 3-1 with Trestman. Now 3-3.

Fox always seems to get very conservative with any kind of a lead. This bears defense is not good enough to hold one. Have to say I'm not thrilled with what John Fox has brought to the table so far, even though they have have so many injuries it's hard to make a fair evaluation.

Racking up 300-400 yards of offense and driving down and not punching it in and occasionally missing a fg is the issue. We need to convert more td's. We could have a couple more wins this season if we couldve just punched in 1 more.

This is why I'm really not too disappointed with this season so far. We could easily be 3-3 right now. We'll see how the rest of the season goes, but maybe we aren't as far away as we thought after the first 3 weeks.

Nice to see Floyd make some big plays.

I guess it's an easy decision who to start between Jay and Hoyer now.

Packers aren't looking too good, especially Jordy. He can't seem to get open. I wonder if he lost explosiveness or he isn't 100% yet.

Do you think the league will fine that Douche nozzle Mathews for the helmet spear to Hoyers left arm? it is really obvious on the replay that he lowers his head and simply hits him with the top of his helmet.

You guys actually watched that game last night?!?!?
I had it on picture in picture with the sound off for about ten minutes and that was all I needed to see.
