Chicago Bears 2016-2017 Season

Lord let us burn a trail to the number one overall pick.

Nope, now is about the time the Bears start winning. Playoffs all but a guaranteed miss, so what is left? Ruining you draft position. :D

Now I know nobody purposely blows games, nor am I advocating it, to get the number one pick, especially this early in the season. My point is more about typical Bears luck. No realistic shot at playoffs, so the only thing left to do is get just enough wins to pick in the teens. You know, enough to get a good, but not program changing player(s) :tsk:

If the Bears do manage to somehow land on the #1 or #2 pick (Browns are much worse than we are), it should be traded to get all of the picks. Future 1's have a lot of value in theory. Here's to hoping.

Said no football coach ever.
Definitely. But he is absolutely right about the line. We get that shored up and we actually have a shot at winning some games. We need linemen and maybe another corner. Depends on if Fuller ever comes back to form. I think we found at least a couple solid ones in Callahan and Glenn.

If we drop Cutler, i actually think we can win with Hoyer. He has looked good out there. We just need a line who can block so we can punch it in in the redzone.

What happened to the Vikings? They just went from Super Bowl contenders to looking like a team that deserves a top 10 draft pick.

But I'm not taking anything away from my Bears. This is what happens when you keep working hard. We were unlucky the past few weeks if we had Cutler we could easily be 4-4 or even 5-3.

I think this is the first full 60 minute game I've seen the Bears play all season. The defense is starting to improve though the youth of the secondary is still a big concern. Leonard Floyd is starting to look better as well.

We finally just put a couple td's on the board and got the W. This isnt much different then weve been playing. We just scored td's instead of all fg's or even missing a fg. 2 td's in every other game and we have probably just that 1 opening loss to Houston. And probably last week since we had our 3rd string qb out there.

This is really gonna hamper our number one overall pick ability

Not sure how likely that number one overall pick ever was. The Bears don't play a team with a record better than 4-3 until the last game of the season where they get these Vikings again.

It's a pretty easy schedule. They could win 3, 4 or 5 of them.

I didn't realize how bad the Vikings were on offense until I watched some of their game against the Eagles the previous week. They are pretty much ranked 30 or lower in most offensive categories. I give the Bears credit, that was one of the most complete games they've played over the past 2-3 seasons. I see Norve Turner quit as the Vikings OC today.

That really was a pathetic performance coming off a bye week. Also Jeffrey now suspended four games for PEDs. Not that it really matters a heck of a lot. This really looks like a massive train wreck with no foreseeable solutions in the short-term. Media starting to be more contentious with Fox.

Im seeing intentional tank at this point for a top draft pick. Get healthy, get the O line shoreed up and come out next season ready to make a run.
