Im still hot for Chip Kelly coming here.

Heard rumblings about him looking at BIG possible vacancies.

Do you mean turning down Nebraska?

I'll give you credit, you're committed to the long troll. Many people would have given up by now.

UCLA or Florida.

Personally, I'd take Florida. Easier to get back to the top, top choice of talent more sore than UCLA it seems.

0% state income tax v 13%?? :D

UCLA all the way and it's not even close. History, LA talent in your backyard, PAC12 vs SEC, plus LA/Westwood >>>>>>>>>> Gainesville.

The presence of Saban is getting successful coaches fired who would otherwise be appreciated in any other conference (Miles, Sumlin, even Malzahn was on hot seat).

Don’t take an SEC job in the Saban era that expects you to win the SEC. Take UCLA.

Pac 12 if you mean easier to win?

UCLA is not USC. Good to decent history, but not outstanding.

Fla v Calif talent is a toss up. Both also have plenty of other competition for talent, so another toss up, although I'd give a slight dhe to Florida. It seems fla talent more likely to stay at fla WHEN they are top notch.

SoCal is nice, but other issues can make it meh. Personal choice. IMHO

Back to 13% v 0% ;)

If Frost stays in Florida I will not be surprised to see Bielema to Nebraska. Perhaps Dave Dueren is ready to return to the Midwest.

The AD that hires BB at Nebraska will have a very short career. BB would be the same disaster at Neb that he was at Arky.

The man can't coach.

If I were Chip Kelly, i'd go with UCLA.

He knows the West Coast and has deep ties there already. The Pac-12 is wide open as a conference -- USC and Washington are solid, but nowhere near Alabama's level. And UCLA is a good program with good tradition and has the potential to be a contender with the right coach.

I personally would pick Florida. Better conference. Football is king in the state of Florida. And Florida fans are begging for the return of high-powered offense. Plus, while you're competing with FSU and Miami for in-state talent, you don't have to deal with a cross-town rival like USC.

I think Kelly will pick UCLA, and Florida will go hard for Scott Frost. I actually think Frost will turn down UF and go to Nebraska, and UF will then go after Dan Mullen which will prove to be an underwhelming hire in the eyes of UF fans.

Excellent points. Kelly to UCLA makes plenty of sense for your reasons.

Like you however, if I were in this position, I'd take Florida all day.

Well, now it's Scott Frost's move. I wouldn't expect him to make a decision before the AAC championship game, though.

I still think he goes to Nebraska, but if he pulls an Urban Meyer and picks Florida over his "dream job" -- which to Meyer was apparently Notre Dame -- it'll be interesting to see who Nebraska targets.

No surprise there. I always thought Nebraska hiring Riley was a mistake in the first place.

Nebraska ceased to be nationally relevant when they fired Frank Solich and hired Bill Callahan. Solich found a nice comfortable gig at Ohio U, though, where he's still coaching at age 73.

Urban decided correctly that he had a better chance for a national title at Florida. Times have changed but the same holds true between Nebraska and Florida (although you’re on an awfully short leash at Florida these days). An argument can be made that the ceiling for Nebraska today is Iowa or at best Wisconsin good (which we lust for). It’s hard to imagine them ever being consistently in the playoff discussion. Heck Wisconsin is only in the conversation because they’re undefeated.

I'm curious to see what ND does with Kelly after this season. Lots of end of season collapses. 0-4 vs Stanford, 13-18 vs Top 25 teams.
