Lol. Terry was ruled ineligible for taking money from two separate agents and Arizon had to vacate their 1999 NCAA tournament appearance b/c of him.
The best part will be if Arizona puts Sean Miller on administrative leave and replaces him with interim coach Lorenzo Romar. Lol. You know Markelle Fultz’s ($10k payment) former coach.

Honestly, this is about the least dirty thing that could happen. Steering a player to sign with an agent to get an agent to steer a player to a school?

So it is apparent the NCAA has lack of institutional control or more likely aware and just happy to collect revenues. It seems like it's impossible to hurt the brand because fans don't really care about integrity either.
I don't really see the FBI involvement because, other than IRS, this seems more a breach of ethics than law.
I'm not for paying players because they are essentially paid. If they were to be paid more than scholarships and stipends, it becomes a bidding war where the rich get richer or a salary cap where ethical violations can still occur.
The real issue is the integrity of the NCAA. Answers aren't that hard. Big fines, lifetime bans of dirty coaches and players and pulling offenders off television and pulling that part of revenues. Fixing integrity isn't all that hard but I'm not sure there is that much interest by anybody that's in the game. Very sad.

Bridges’ mother is alleged to have taken a $70 meal and a $400 cash advance from an agent. More may come out, and probably will, but $470 from an agent to a player’s mother isn’t something a coach can really control or reasonably be expected to have knowledge of.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it's because these are state institutions so public corruption is the issue for the FBI.
I don't think the "amount" should be the issue. I know it's small potatoes.

Good comment on Bilas. I really like him as an analyst - but someone who has made his money from the NCAA and College Basketball - he is feeding off the animal that he is so "high and mighty" in criticizing. It's growing weary.
I think this all falls into 3 issues
1) Players and relatives meeting with agents prior to they are officially allowed - not that big of deal to me
2) Players and relative taking cash advances, meals, etc from agents - bigger deal but out of the schools control
3) Coaches paying third parties or directly to players to come to their school - this of course is the most egregious offense which could lead to fines and jail time.
It will be interesting to see who falls into each catagory and the punishment.

I read Izzo's comments, saying neither I nor my staff knew anything about this issue with Bridges. Now today it comes out that Izzo's assistant, Stephens, was trying to funnel money to Bowen to get him to MSU. What about that one, little Tommy? He's you assistant. Oh yeah, "I didn't know what my assistant was doing!?!?!?"
There just isn't smoke around Izzo, it's an effing forest fire.

The amount is not the issue - rather that she took anything. And it was listed as an "advance payment" which implies there was potentially more at some other time to come??
