So it is apparent the NCAA has lack of institutional control or more likely aware and just happy to collect revenues. It seems like it's impossible to hurt the brand because fans don't really care about integrity either.
I don't really see the FBI involvement because, other than IRS, this seems more a breach of ethics than law.
I'm not for paying players because they are essentially paid. If they were to be paid more than scholarships and stipends, it becomes a bidding war where the rich get richer or a salary cap where ethical violations can still occur.
The real issue is the integrity of the NCAA. Answers aren't that hard. Big fines, lifetime bans of dirty coaches and players and pulling offenders off television and pulling that part of revenues. Fixing integrity isn't all that hard but I'm not sure there is that much interest by anybody that's in the game. Very sad.
