As I have said many times, when you go into Spring and you have major gaps, you will take some chances with "projects." You hope some will pan out, if not though, they will likely leave in the future.
Some posters make it sound that every recruit and "project" is part of a deliberate strategy and all we need is our secret weapon Fletch to make them into stars. Oh... look at that low ranked recruit somewhere in college basketball 3 years ago who became so good!!!
We need to have a very successful 2019 recruiting class in the fall, with some difference makers and highly ranked recruits at positions of need, otherwise if we go into Spring with many gaps again, the same scenario will play out. We need to improve our primary fall recruiting, that is the key. And before someone mentions Ayo, yes, Ayo is good but a fall class of 1 when we have many needs is not enough. We needed more last fall and we simply did not get it.
