He's a mystery at this point. Had the great shooting game in the very first exhibition he was in and then the *long* absence. He's got great build and decent height to be an impactful '4'. However, in the *very* limited minutes he's been in the last 2 years, he's looks awfully slow and awkward in trying to play defense. I'm not sure his muscle build is translating to agility. But - who really knows? I think, given the current roster needs, he fits a potentially useful slot. And has several more years of development if he wants it. I'd assume he's behind Hawkins at this point and we're likely to add another 4, so he'd be even further down the line and likely little playing time. If he works hard on his movement and agility and it turns out he really is a great shooter, we might all be very surprised down the line with his contributions.
If his foot issues are behind him and not a chronic issue, I think he will play a significant role in the future.

Not sure of the accuracy of this post, but it makes total sense. I'm 100% onboard. Given where things stand at this very moment, everything mentioned is logical and where I'd probably guess that things stand. We're probably only half done with all the roster movement.

Kofi, Adam, DaMonte and Tre (for Hamlin) and we have the potential to get a double bye in the Big Ten Tourney.

Did anyone ever confirm if Plummer eats one of the 13 scholarships given his super-senior status?
I dont believe so ill find out more today

Also think that Plummer's status is a super senior and does not eat one of the 13 scholarships. If both Monte and Miller come back, it will be interesting to see how the playing time and starters will be distributed. We have 3 very good frosh and soph Hawkins that likely won't be getting much PT which could be problematic down the road.

If Hawkins does not earn himself a substantial increase in playtime, I will be a bit worried about his future on the team (its a bad sign for his development and a bad sign for his happiness. He might transfer out). He has the skillset to be a strong stretch 4 for us, by far the weakest position on the team going into next year. Same with BVV. Our team looks a lot better if either can be a starting caliber 4.

DMW is looking at a reduced role (reduced minutes). Don't know if that's a big factor in his decision, but wouldn't be surprised if it's a consideration.

The frosh are looking at spot minutes, barring injury. Yeah, they all have the ability to break out, but as of now, they have guys ahead of them. Learning and body building ~18 months coming. These are great problems to have.

Will also be nice to have the option of having the free throw shooting and experience of Trent (83.1% last year and 85.3% the year before) and Plummer (82.4% last year, 88.8% as a JUCO Soph) on the floor in certain late game situations.

So is your young one the insider or is it grandma? My money's on grandma
Youd lose your money.. But your close.
I have a family member whose been at the university for 25+ years... Who happens to work in admissions. Who happens to be in grants and scholarships. Because of that I have been fortunate enough to be able to get to know some people at the university who happen to be in sports.
Thats all..
I myself am no insider! Just a lucky individual! though We have some real ones on board though!
