I don't get the negativity around this hire. Frazier is clearly an up-n-comer in the coaching ranks that VT fans wish they'd kept. He's established himself as a key part of turning around that program, and someone whose story and ability to connect with recruits is a tremendous asset. He's also connected in an area you'd want to have connections. He's relatively young, but I don't see that as a negative, especially in an assistant.
OA was/is one of the best in the business. They fought hard to keep him, but there's only so much that can be done when you're up against one of the deep pocketed blue bloods. Sometimes you have to roll with the punches, and IMO this was really solid. In addition, I like his chances of connecting right away with the guys we have committed, something that really limits the damage from losing OA and Chin.
