Heard that fans were chanting "fire Nagy" at his son's high-school football game recently! On the broadcast said crowd was saying "hire Nagy" ie ND football team should. We're making jokes about Kelly leaving all night.

He had a great opportunity to prove he could pass out of the post before he got fouled with 90 seconds left after he got that rebound. It would have been such a great basketball play to get it into a shooterās hands with an opportunity to eat some clock. But Kofi looked dominant overall in my opinion.Oddly, I think this was a bad game for NBA hopeful Kofi. He seemed to be pretty exposed guarding a perimeter playing big man. Also, he got burned pretty bad when he got switched onto guards.
Its a shame, he's such a dominant low post player.
Agreed! Completely shut down their highly skilled big on every possession. I really can't fathom that comment.Stunning comment. I thought he was terrific on D tonight!
I started watching his feet last night. He's good with his footwork and getting into position where he needs to be. Reaching is what seems to get him in trouble, but that tie-up he had gives me hope that he might be settling in.Really? I thought Payne looked crappy on Defense. I havenāt seen him live up to that reputation at all so far
Actually from start of game with DMW at pg,...there seemed to be much mor zip/speed in ball movement. That is what we need quick/crisp passes, ball was flying around and Kofi was getting assists.Trentās surprise entrance seemed to put the swagger back into the team.
Reminded me of that pro wrestling trope when one guy is in a close battle & suddenly you hear music ā¦the announcer says āOh my god, Thatās Trent Frazierās music!ā, and his buddy comes in and cleans house.
We went from treading water to obviously being the best team on the floor.
Itās the stuff of legend.
This right here is fantastic. I knew this team was dealing with sickness but not to the extent that coach just described. Tough group....
Influenza has been eradicated. Havenāt seen it in a few years. Go science!Open question whether they meant actual flu (influenza) or stomach flu (not influenza). There are major differences in terms of how contagious it is and overall effect on health.
More than zero? Two sides to every coin I guess. I honestly thought his defense was sloppy and a little over committing. Heās lucky he didnāt get called for more fouls, but thatās JMO

My guess, is flu-like symptoms/stomach flu. I highly doubt they'd be playing if they had inflienza.Open question whether they meant actual flu (influenza) or stomach flu (not influenza). There are major differences in terms of how contagious it is and overall effect on health.
Yes, something must be going on with him but when you were able to see him on the bench he sure looked like he was having a good time....Pretty clearly having some persistent post-concussive symptoms.
It really seems like the coaches have Podz and being a step behind Goode and Melendez and I donāt think heās going to see the court a lot this year. Love the kids potential, especially shooting, but I think heās going to be more on the developmental track.Much better overall performance tonight, maybe the biggest improvement was taking care of the ball...I think only 12 TO's .....we need to improve defensively...especially on the perimeter...liked the play of the freshmen...RJ and Goode.....was surprised Podz didn't see the court....thought he was healthy enough to play???? And DW did a much better job of handling the point....getting Kofi to kick the ball back out to the perimeter is a work in progress but he's getting much better and will only help him and the offense if he continues to improve in that area....Hopefully Curbelo returns soon and he will lay a little more controlled offensively and cut down on the TO's.
I love this guy. We have a special coach, I truly belive that.
Sure. But I'd imagine, any type of physical exertion would cause symptoms to start up. That's the nature of post concussive symptoms.Yes, something must be going on with him but when you were able to see him on the bench he sure looked like he was having a good time....
I thought i heard fire Nagy over the tv. Maybe they did both?On the broadcast said crowd was saying "hire Nagy" ie ND football team should. We're making jokes about Kelly leaving all night.
I understand your point, but I do think he was lucky for how handsy he was playing. To his credit, he was in position most of the time.More than zero?
Yeah, I agree. How they play specific players coming off ball screens is no doubt scouting report informed. (Or it is SUPPOSED to be) AND in generalā¦going over the top is sort of the most common/default way to guard itā¦Yet, it definitely seems there are certainly situations weād be better served going under the screen than over it. I think weāll continue to clean that up.Great execution by the team tonight. Only thing I would have liked to have seen was going under the high ball screens for Wesley. Would have taken away his driving lanes and it didnāt seem like he really wanted to shoot the three.
Oh, you definitely heard Fire Nagy on TV - I did too - crystal clear.I thought i heard fire Nagy over the tv. Maybe they did both?
