I got on early to kind of breeze through posts from last night. In my split second glance, I think I've learned that Loren Tate played for REO Speedwagon, Kofi has joined 3 Dog Night, and Curbelo will be the next commissioner. TGIF.
Keys to the game...stop Nance and hit open shots. Outside of Nance Illinois matches up well with NW. Would love to see Goode effectively defend him and make a few shots. I think Goode's development is key for a deep run this year.
Might need Hawkins on Nance too. I hope he’s ready.

I expect the mildcats coming out with the knowledge what upsetting us would do for their resume and help them rectify their losing streak of close game losses.....
Young has some decent moves in the paint but walks excessively....hope the refs call it on him....can't hit his FT's late
Audige is talented but plays out of control and is good for 2-3 times a game of wowing you with his skills , but will do stupid things on the court twice that number and utimately be a reason for them losing .....
Buie hasn't met a 30 foot shot he doesn't like.....I compare him to Bad Belo moves ....out of control and making you shake your head at the bonehead plays.....
Greer is the one who worries me......not as skilled as the others but the old career night from an unheralded player always lurks with him and he has played us pretty well , IIRC.....
Look for chrissy to mismanage the game also ........The buck stops with the one in charge and through his 8-9 years there he has a past of doing strange things during any game....
i predicted a 78-65 win for the Illini not knowing if Kofi and Belo are playing ....i still feel confident in that pick....

If the Kitties have the personnel to play a 3/4 trap we could be in trouble. That's been a weakness when we don't have Belo. I don't know if there are stats on it, but I've gotta guess we're in the upper 20% of most 10 second calls in D1.

If Kofi plays we are worried about Nance? Why? Is this just due to his outside shot ability? Kofi can dominate the pain offensively and defensively.
We don’t have a great 4 guard and Young worries me more than anyone. Especially if we have a lineup where Grandison has to guard him. God help him. He can post up well but had really quick feet. He’s not gonna face up and blow by Grandison but Jake isn’t ready for that kind of post play. I expect Hawkins to be on him, or play some combo of Kofi-BBV/Payne at the 5/4
Order of biggest problems:
1. Young (matchup more than skill)
2. Audige (killed us last time, really skilled and pretty lengthy)
3. Nance
This is a huge game with the Badgers winning, Lets get KOfi back and it will be a heck of a game on Wednesday night.
