Wow, that would be nice. I'd feel a lot better. This post has boosted my hopes. Will there be word prior to the game or will we be waiting to see if he had the warmups up?

Coach make it a game time decision.

Full marks. This one never gets old.

I can see Bruce Weber (literally) stooping to this. I can even see, in extremis, John Groce. I can not, under any circumstance see Lou, Lon, Self or BU ever doing so.
So it's kinda a litmus test for Illini coaches.

I saw REO Speedwagon at least 30 times back in the late 60's and early 70's at a bar in Carbondale called Merlin's.......................High times they were.........
Lol was gonna post about the same thing. I saw them at least a dozen times between EIU and Champaign in the early 70s. Still one of my favorite all time bands.

I was at that 3 Dog Night concert in 69 or 70... Sister was on the entertainment committee at EIU she brought the whole band back to the Alpha Gamma Delta house to party. As a 17 year old kid gotta meet the whole band.

I too would love to see a beat down.... This team needs a break from these no holds barred cage matches they've had lately.

Note: Nice Ten Commandment gif Doo...... Now I have a craving for pomegranate :)
Now I have a craving for Yvonne De Carlo.

I saw REO multiple times in the late 70s at Assembly Hall and later afterwards at Panama Red's or Mabel's. I once saw Gary Richrath in a dive bar in Kokomo Indiana in the 80s after left REO and started his own band (creatively named Richrath). I will never forget watching him play Golden Country standing four feet away from me. Un-effing-real. RIP Gary.

Well, like the Mexican bartender on an Acapulco beachfront hotel told me long ago... "don't lose that smile."

lol agreed. Coach Underwood is a breath of fresh air and acts like a total pro. Love that he's representing our Fighting Illini.

I can't wait to go into that high school gym of the Wussy cats and stomp them in front of their dorky fans.

Thanks for sharing. Can anyone who has ever been and/or observed a concussion protocol shed some light on the tests that Kofi needs to clear?
Can’t speak for ncaa concussion protocol to the T, but the one we use is supposed to be “based on the ncaa protocol.” Whether it is, I’m not fully sure but here’s what the requirements are. By we I mean in Texas

1) get symptom free
2) do cardio and be symptom free for 24 hours. If not return to step one. If so…
3) increase conditioning to something more sport specific and be symptom free for 24 hours. If not return to step one. If so…
4) non contact practice and remain symptom free 24 hours
5) full contact practice and remain symptom free 24 hours
6) Full go

This is a mini rant I suppose, but when the other 10 guys had covid, everyone knew it, called it by name, the names were all out there even if not by Underwood. Now with Curbelo, no one wants to say it due to privacy. Kofi is out for concussion protocol. With Curbelo we weren’t supposed to talk about, even though some knew, due to privacy. Who makes up these rules as we go?! **End rant**

I feel so much better!!! 😁
Trent talked about Curbelo having Covid either pre game or post… can’t remember which one.

Is there parking close to Welsh Ryan? For those of us not from the area, what’s the best parking option?
