They're relevant for media coverage but I agree they are pretty useless. In this age of the transfer portal especially the presason rankings are going to be even worse. I wish they didn't exist honestly. The should wait two weeks into the season and then come out with their first rankings, so there's at least some data behind them.

Hawkins has a couple more days to enter the transfer portal in order to play somewhere else this year. From his interview it sounded highly unlikely that he would be entering the portal.

My guess is that it wouldn't matter who we might bring in, he'll be sticking around and fighting for his minutes. I don't see any of the guys on our team as locks for starting right now. Way too much inexperience to figure out who's going to come out on top. Not to mention additions.

Maybe you are right and it will even itself out, but I doubt these kids that have been told what they want to hear their whole lives in AAU will stop believing their handlers any time soon. And this chaos is not good for the game. (and who we happen to sign today....or whenever... does not change that). I think NIL is here to stay and good for the kids. The numbers of players who wind up no where, the tone in Underwood's voice in his recent interview, and the negative impact on fan connection shows that the free transfer rule is not good for the sport. These two together are just bad.

I looked him up, he has got a big frame and he was bringing the ball up the court at 6'10". Moved like a guard, it was pretty impressive.

funny, I hadn't thought of it as a strange choice. seems like young guys have a ton of opportunity at LSU and the coach seems like a decent guy. it's going to be very interesting in the portal era how teams like this rebuild.

tons of opportunity but surely they're going to get a post season ban at some point in the near future.

Maybe he likes Saul Goodman and the University of American Samoa has a spot for him.

In all seriousness I am excited for BBV. He could shoot from outside when he arrived and maybe that's why he left because to be a pro anywhere that will be his role.

As an attorney I can say from experience it takes a good student to get into a good law school like that, but takes a smart person to find something else, anything else, to do instead of actually becoming a lawyer. BBV is a smarter person than I.

Dear Dan,
Is there any way you can create a "block all but..." button, so I could block everyone but you, Illini0440 and Indy Illini Fan. It would be great if I only had one or two pages of recruiting thread to read daily. The other posters can be entertaining at times, but I don't have an hour a day to keep up with the recruiting thread at this time.
