There are schools poking around (yes that was intentional) ... But I wouldn't worry about losing him ... They don't think he will de-commit ...
I know an SEC school reached out as well ...
Time to get the local recruits in for the game on Saturday. Getting some free publicity and also one of the few schools able to allow recruits to attend a game since not many games Week 0. Time to put the Bat-Signal up for future recruits and land Jyaire Hill
A little birdie told me he’s going to be at the game on Saturday …

Sounds like we could have a decent amount of prospects from the 2024 and 2025 class in attendance as well
Quite a few guys on campus this weekend. Let’s hope a good showing helps land Hill and a few others.
Not gonna lie. I laughed pretty hard at that one. That's great. I liked the last one, where the Mom just bounced off her son.
Ditto here. Not gonna lie. I laughed pretty hard at that one.
This seems like pretty big news, maybe worthy of its own thread: https://247sports.com/Article/Colle...windows-go-into-effect-immediately-192369821/
The thing that stuck out to me was this, "Schools will now be required to keep transfer athletes on scholarship through the completion of their five-year eligibility or until they finish their undergraduate degree." Seems like that would curb transfers to some degree, or impact programs taking a flyer on an open scholarship.
I think it’s valid effort, but trying to slow down the tampering is paddling upstream as you go over the Niagara Falls. At least there is more or less a deadline to know who’s on your team. Of course that assumes they don’t continue to grant 85% of appeals. This seems like pretty big news, maybe worthy of its own thread: https://247sports.com/Article/Colle...windows-go-into-effect-immediately-192369821/

Great points. I will add that if coach can get guys like Crisler and Adams to the NFL we will be a hot spot for juco linemen on the regular. It will allow us to allocate more resources to high school playmaking athletes and top level defensive players. I think the line will be GREAT here in the near future and beyond. In the 70's and early 80's it was difficult for the UI's of the world to obtain sufficient talent via HS recruiting to compete with OSU and UM. Mike White basically upended that by going the JuCo route, and after a few years of success on the field we were better able to compete for high quality HS recruits.
We are in a similar situation today. Given the past 20 years, we aren't going to get the type of HS recruits that will quickly allow us to get out of our current position. The portal has the potential to absolutely change that equation. Personally, I would recruit the heck out of the portal to quickly upgrade our talent level and our ability to compete. A few years of winning will then give us much better ability to compete for quality HS recruits than we have now
Thing is, the reason Jucos gave us a leg up in the 80's was that the big boys weren't recruiting there. Everyone is in the portal now, it's a very tight market. In the 70's and early 80's it was difficult for the UI's of the world to obtain sufficient talent via HS recruiting to compete with OSU and UM. How so? I’m intrigued…(An SEC school NIL consortium vs NIL consortium civil war is going to break out and get confusing and ugly very soon, I predict)
Picture this. One Auburn consortium has deals with one faction of players and recruits and supports Bryan Harsin, one Auburn consortium has deals with another faction of players and recruits and wants him fired. The winner gets to be the group in the inner circle with the ear of the head football coach. And it's Auburn so the inmates run the asylum. Good luck working all that out.How so? I’m intrigued…
he should be priority # 1...............................
