Hmmm...Auburn hired the AD from MissSt the week before they play football, and he fired Harsin on his first day...am I getting that right?

Colorado?Harsin was a terrible fit at Auburn but a hit at Boise State. His next stop?
Why take the Auburn job? Sign for a boatload of money and then get a $15 million buyout. Coach for a year or so and then be set for life.Auburn has created their own problems. Not many coaches are going to jump at that job knowing they'll be gone at the first signs of adversity. Which is how they ended up with Harsin in the first place. Delusion at it's finest.
Gotta wonder if CU would hire another Boise State coach after experiencing the Dan Hawkins years. He sucked more than Pearl Harbor and that's an awful lot girl.Colorado?
The thing with Auburn's fan/booster community isn't so much that they're any crazier than other football factories of the South, it's that they've managed to commandeer more control over the proper leadership of the school than at other places. In a conference of delusional fanbases, Auburn's stands out as being the most delusional.
I hope you write content for a living...The thing with Auburn's fan/booster community isn't so much that they're any crazier than other football factories of the South, it's that they've managed to commandeer more control over the proper leadership of the school than at other places.
And so it's not even so much about having starry-eyed expectations of big name coaches, what their big boosters want is to be part of the hiring process and to have a head football coach they have a degree of control and accountability over. That's where the whole Kevin Steele thing came from.
Not an ideal organizational structure to say the least. And with the NIL world now center stage, the donors have a lot more immediate leverage than they used to.
It's a matter of time before we get an NIL-consortium versus NIL-consortium civil war for "control" of one of these big Southern programs. And Auburn is the perfect breeding ground for that sort of thing.
Ah, you have a very good point. I forgot about Hawkins.Gotta wonder if CU would hire another Boise State coach after experiencing the Dan Hawkins years. He sucked more than Pearl Harbor and that's an awful lot girl.
I don’t know man they’ve been to the mountain top in the not too recent past, so what’s possible is still in their minds. In a conference of delusional fanbases, Auburn's stands out as being the most delusional.

Think about how we talk about 89 or 05 in basketball like it was yesterday.
