I think so, assuming that she is injured to the point that she can't play. The rule is you can play up to 30% of your team's games and not play in the last half of the season. We'll have 29 games in the regular season and then whatever we get in the postseason. I am assuming that those games in the postseason count. So, as a minimum we will play at least one game in the B10 tourney which puts us at 30. 30% of 30 is 9 games and she has played only 8 games. If her last game was Dec. 21 then she will have not played in the second half of the season (again assuming that the postseason counts). The question becomes whether she is 'too injured' to play now. I think the ncaa is pretty lenient there. Probably need some paperwork signed by a doc or trainer.

Enjoyable game...
On the bench it looked as though she had a black wrap on one of her shoulders. As I understand the uniform rules, all the players have to wear the same color shirts and leggings under their uniforms, and everyone else was wearing white. It tells me there was no plan to put her into the game, which sort of confirms your evaluation.
a ranked team from a power 5 is a 10 seed??
I feel like this has already been mentioned, but has it been posted what the average attendance figures are for a good to very good P5 school (not UCONN, South Carolina, Tennessee, etc.)?

I am a huge cheerleader for this team and ecstatic for the results this team has provided. Making the NCAA tourney alone is amazing!
I don't think Illinois deserves a high seed unless they would win last 2 games vs Nebraska, at Rutgers and make a decent run in the conference tournament.
Iowa win was huge for the ladies! Other than Iowa and Missouri, we don't have a win against any other teams the whole season with an overall record 3+ games over .500 going into the last few games left. The ladies beat up on some bad teams in non-conference play and same during conference play. I have no problem with this at all. Majority of the time when a team doesn't have a track record of winning it takes a long time to change the results and pull out close wins. New coaching squad and some new pieces to the team changed this around quick. NCAA Tourney game will be a toss up and if we would win will likely be playing a 1-3 seed in the next round.
If it's a one seed.. I hope its Stanford. I think KB would do a pretty good Cam Krutwig reenactment on their big.

The AP ranking is wonderful when it comes to selling the program to fans and recruits, but it doesn't matter to the selection committee. While we are 25 in the AP poll, we're 35 in the NET, one of the metrics used by the selection committee. 35 in the NET equates to a 9 seed.
The other metric the selection committee uses is who you beat. While we've done a great job amassing wins, our issue is that most of those wins are against minnows. In our non-conference schedule, out of our 11 games, we had one Quad 1 win at Missouri and one Quad 3 loss against Deleware (10-1 overall). From there, we had about the easiest conference schedule you could have hoped for. We only played Iowa, Ohio State, and Maryland once (the 2, 3, 4 in the conference). With that, we beat the heck out of the bottom of the conference. 9 out of our 10 conference wins have come against the bottom half of the conference (teams 8-14). Our only win in the top half of the conference is that huge one against Iowa. That game is buttressing our entire resume.
So right now, we are 35 in the Net with three Quad 1 wins (the third is against Nebraska away) and one Quad 3 loss. A 9 or a 10 seed is just about right. We do have a chance to bump it up a little bit. Nebraska at home would be a Quad 2 win. They're on a 4 game-losing streak and one of the last teams projected in the tournament. Take that and Rutgers and make a little noise in the B1G tournament and we could be around a 7 or 8 seed. I would guess that's the best we can hope for unless we win the B1G Tournament, amass several more Quad 1 wins doing it, and really force the selection committee to make a last-second decision on us (not something the selection loves to do, but it's not completely unheard of).
No matter what, this season has defied all reasonable expectations. Yes, if we are honest with ourselves, our schedule broke perfectly for us, but let's be real, this program desperately needed that added bit of luck, and the ladies have done an incredible job taking advantage of it. As frustrating as the men's season has been (though I have hopes it's going to end with a run!), this women's season has kept my spirits up. I'm so thankful to finally have a team that's worth giving a d*mn about and that's appointment viewing.
The ladies playing Stanford or any #1 seed in the tourney would be a crazy thing for sure
Stanford has beat 9 top 25 teams this season. Get Cameron Brinks in foul trouble for the whole game and the game would stay close. Stanford would probably just bring in 6'7 Freshman Betts who would tear us a new one.
First time I will be watching a ladies NCAA selection show in.........forever
