Also, let's do a blind resume test:

T-Rank264052
Quad 15-64-76-8
Quad 23-24-25-2
Quad 3/49-210-06-1

Rank 'em. Can you guess who is who?

Rutgers
Illinois
Iowa
We are B, and even without adding in the context that we have 2 top tier Quad 1 wins over UCLA and Texas, we still have a better resume than both of the others. No Quad 3 or 4 losses is a lovely thing.

C = Northwestern
B = Michigan State
A = Illinois

That would be my best guess.

I really like the lack of bad losses this year. For all the talk about a low floor and a high ceiling, the floor hasn't been all that low in the results arena.

Lunardi just trolling us at this point
Lunardi might be good at "selecting" the 64 or 68 teams but how accurate are his seedings? yes I realize we are 3 weeks away from selections.

Lunardi has Illini as a 9 seed if his update today. Hmm
Really?? That doesn't make sense given his previous update. We were at a 7 I believe before the Indiana game. No way a road quad 1 loss drops you two seed lines.

Boy our resume looks very similar to Duke.

not really
look past the Q1-2 records: Dukes Q1 wins are 33 and 44 neutral (X and Iowa) and 27 home Wake. Q2 wins: 47, 55, 71 home (NC, Pitt, Oh St), 107 away Syr
Illini: Q1 3 and 9 neutral, 71 away WI. Q2: 35, 37, 39, 70, 71 home; 88 away
line up the NETs and ours are about 15-20 better on each win; they have no top 25 wins; two top 40 wins vs. our 5; one away win is 107 vs two 71 and 88

I don’t have any idea where Illini will be seeded. What I do know is that once they are announced, there will be plenty of posts on here about how the Illini are seeded to low as well as how our opponent in first or second round should have been seeded higher too.

I think we tend to overestimate our resume. Our best wins in the last 80 days are home games against Rutgers and Northwestern, both q2. Nationally, we just aren't going to get much love. Finishing the season with no more than 1 loss and avoid getting bounced in the first round of the BTT and I'm guessing that'll be enough to keep us in the 5-7 range.

Edit: I guess technically the Wisconsin road game would be our best win of the last 80 days but eh..

Well Lunardi had us as a 7 earlier so I guess he overestimated us as well. This fan base is going to lose their mind if we get an 8/9 seed.
