Don't want to get too ahead of one week at a time, but looking ahead to Week 3, if the Illini start 2-0 and so does Penn State, what are the odds that College Gameday makes a visit to Champaign? I know we already have B1G Noon in town, but there are not many marquis games on schedule in Week 3.

While I like the positivity, I would be surprised if they came to Chambana. While there's not currently any ranked vs. ranked games on the schedule that weekend, I could see them going to the Backyard Brawl or to TCU/Houston. Maybe even South Carolina/Georgia.

So… I need odds here for planning purposes. My daughter has a homecoming dance the same day as the Florida Atlantic game. Her dance is at 7pm in Chicago suburbs.. When do they announce this time and what is your best guess for kickoff? And can I make it back

WVU hosting Pitt or Colorado hosting Colo St seem to be options. Unless we win both of our first games by big margins and slip into the top 20..maybe they’d consider coming

There's absolutely 0 chance there will 2 national pregame shows on campus anywhere on the same week. Doesn't matter if it's #1 vs #2 B1G Noon and GameDay will never be at the same place.

That is what I was thinking as well, which I alluded to. I know that Gameday and Big Noon Kickoff were both in Columbus at the same time for "The Game", so there is sometimes crossover.

Of course the OSU/Mich game always has way more hype. I put the odds of Champaign hosting Gameday at around 1-2% if both Illini and Penn State are 2-0 for the reason you stated.

I didn’t say it was likely but it’s happened before. Last year for Mich at OSU and Penn St at OSU in 2019 I believe. It would take a lot but we’re one of the few P5(P2*) teams to never host Gameday.

I completely agree, but the original poster stated that they would never both be at a campus at same time, even if both teams were 1 and 2. I was simply stating that it just happened at end of last year.

Given that he has two years left (after this season), I'd say yes. I don't think his debut was an anomaly. Been watching ball for a long time, and those throws (short, medium and long) were routinely on the money. When he misses, it's still a catchable ball. Mebbe he doesn't have a cannon, but his arm strength is pretty good. Love his quick release. And he has really good wheels too.

Pretty much how I see it. Really need to go bowling but it's not a certainty.

This schedule is a good one for a strong team with tough games at home. But it's filled with danger for a team like us.
