Outside of his 5 turns, TSjr. with one of his top 3 games ever....on both ends. Kid is becoming a player....and one that would fit well on most NBA rosters.
Only weak points tonight were turnovers and FT % below 70, but not much as Rodgers made one and DD did not shoot any...so good shot selection.
Great to see the Illini reverse roles and come out playing with a purpose and energy. Losing most of a big lead was hardly a good thing, but RU buried a few threes, Illini made a few turns, and things changed in a hurry. But the ship was righted and the energy returned. Good game by CoHawk in his return, but I would like to see him take his time in the paint rather than throwing line drive hooks at the rim. He has so many options because of his size and skill and needs to make them all positives in which he is confident. His defense was also a difference maker. Good first game back after a long pause.
So many beers that night, I'm likely to call of Wednesday. That's just facts

(With that said, the turnovers still bother me.)
You might want to check that. It is not true. But Illini are tied for first.

Back to the "teams ahead of us in the polls" conversation, Villanova just lost to Dexel.
Sure like this team and their play when they are all bringing energy, effort, moving the ball, rebounding, and defending.
Overall, the offense looked a lot better today. Great ball movement at times. It was nice to see improvement on that end of the floor and hope it continues.

Overall , our best game of the year , IMHO............Got off to a big lead , weathered the storm and put then away in the second half............That leads me to believe we definitely a second half team and when we combine that with our recent great starts in thye first half , i think we are gonna be a tough team to beat this year......
We will know more after the next 2 games , but if we perform like today then the sky's the limit for us.........The Vols play tough D and very physical in the paint......Let's hope we have fair refs and not some SEC lackey's......
