The Illini took the Scarlet Pimpernels to school, took their lunch money, gave them wet willies, purple nurples, wrist burners, top poppers, Moe slaps, nose twisties, skull noogies, doughboy pokes, and atomic wedgies, then pantsed them, stuffed them in the home team lockers, and dared them to try to get back some of their self respect. It was a borderline dominant performance.

For as much complaints about Ty as PG, I think he has done a great job. Most of his TOs were in the press today. Think he has been pretty good in the half court offense, and has found the open guy plenty of times.

Where he has really thrived is on defense and rebounding. We could have the best defensive/rebounding “PG” in the country.

Excited to see his offensive game continue to grow. For the casual fan, complain about the TOs all you want… Ty has exceeded expectations so far.

Very unselfish with the ball tonight...wouldn't have seen that last year...
We're very long at most positions...highly ranked in defensive categories and rebounding...seems like a recipe for a great season...we have a gauntlet of games upcoming...let's go!

It's not going in the box score, but Dain played solid and important defense that first half when both he and Hawk had two fouls. Managed to not gain his third foul in the process while holding Cliff to 0 points in the half. No chance he could have done that last season. That's the maturity we want and need out of him.

He continued his trend from the last game of running the floor hard too which is great to see. Lead to his awesome dunk and another play where he blew the layup and was still back on D early to force a stop in transition.

Yep he did great getting us to the half without really serious foul trouble on the bigs
Some good minutes by Hansbury, too

If you told me we’d have 15+ turnovers tonight, I’d have guessed nowhere near an 18 point win. I think that’s why offensive rebounding is so important. For the possessions we give away through turnovers, we’ll get a chunk back on the O glass

I think we could play Dain and Guerrier with two fouls in the first half. They aren't going to be allowed to play in the final minutes anyway, due to free-throw shooting. No reason to save them.
