He's great defensively for the most part and phenomenal on the boards also had a great pass to Harmon from the baseline. For as much complaints about Ty as PG, I think he has done a great job. Most of his TOs were in the press today. Think he has been pretty good in the half court offense, and has found the open guy plenty of times.
Where he has really thrived is on defense and rebounding. We could have the best defensive/rebounding “PG” in the country.
Excited to see his offensive game continue to grow. For the casual fan, complain about the TOs all you want… Ty has exceeded expectations so far.
He is good at scoring inside. He's great defensively for the most part and phenomenal on the boards also had a great pass to Harmon from the baseline.
Would like to see him develop as a bit of a threat to score inside to keep defenses honest though.
Ummmm....yeah....I'm gonna need you to go ahead and post some non thread specific pics please.
That'd be great. Thanks.

Good call..we looked relentlessSerious credit to Fletch for getting these guys, especially Dain, to be the better conditioned team by far. Rutgers ran outta gas and our D was top notch!
"Nothing Comes Easy"
It changed due to other games after I posted. Updates after each game is final.18*
And 8th in defense

Yeah, tell that to any guy who has ever met my mom...
I'm guessing you meant score outside. I'd be happy with just a midrange game from him. Develop a reasonably consistent 10-15 ft jump shot. He's great defensively for the most part and phenomenal on the boards also had a great pass to Harmon from the baseline.

Aggressive Domask is the key for us if we're gonna do any damage this year.My goal is not to blast a former player, but Domask>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Mayer. He plays with significantly higher IQ and much more within himself. Does so many little things to help win games.
Always believed 2nd half was result of coaching adjustments. BU doing well in that perspective this year.“What Good Teams Do”
Illini... big early lead. Opponent comes back to about level. Illini... goes out and seizes the game by the throat. And holds things right there.
That is the mark of a good team. When going a bit flat... don’t let the game get away. Hold it level and then exert your will back upon the other team and grab a firm hold of the game. Take that return punch they gave you and then shake it off and put your foot back on the gas pedal. And hold it there.
Joyful game for Illini Nation from ‘Joy-Zee’.
Absolutely. But is there a perfect team in college basketball?5 takeaways:
1. Shannon looks like an NBA player. Bigger, stronger, faster than everyone else
2. The press will keep giving us trouble. Better teams than Rutgers are taking note of our PG issue.
3. Turnovers and free throws can continue to be a problem, but 7/11 from the charity stripe is better.
4. Defense and rebounding are terrific. Those are directly affected by effort which shows that this team is bought in.
5. 18 pt win @ the RAC? I'll take it every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
Coleman needs to be in anytime we are being pressed...Absolutely. But is there a perfect team in college basketball?
FWIW I agree with others that Domask might be more suited to handling the press than Ty, though it's obviously more than one guy. Again I was surprised we didn't see TGL for a least a bit.
