Question is: what does bu do?

Bench Ty to relieve the other positions besides PG? Stronger bench.
Start Moretti? Illinois do need a true PG who can shoot the 3.

Sub Hansberry and DD more? I believe so, if DD can just finish around the basket from .5 feet away.
Limit Domask's offensive output? He was non-existent in the 2nd half. Good to have as a threat anyway.

I typed before not to give up on Goode, but maybe with Moretti's play and other subs being adequate, maybe his playing time should be limited. Then MAC school next year, if he chooses.

Great palate cleanser. The boys showed up during winning time. Glad to see they still have that gear.
Congratulations to Nico. He had a huge impact when we needed a shot in the arm. Knocking down those 3’s got us back in it mentally & we rode that to a ten point win.

Why did it take this long to get Nico in games. Brad still very stubborn. Should have been playing some all year. Probably would have given us a few more wins.

I noticed starters sat on the bench for longer minutes. The subs held their own. Was it a coincidence the defense performed well late in the game because the starters were maybe not as tired as before?

bu should've been doing this from the beginning. Keep faith in the subs to spell minutes for the starters. I noticed CH had more energy towards the end.

Only a game early (y) Really happy for Hawkins
The stat of the game is a really good sign. 1000 conference wins! If you remember, there was another 1000 milestone in the 04-05 season, and our offensive stats are extremely close to that team. Retribution is coming almost 20 years later

Nobody gets benched, but you can control who starts and who ends games. Nico clearly has to be on the floor. Ty needs to learn how to shoot, so he can play off the ball. He's too limited to have him in a game late. It's 4 on 5.

I really underestimated Iowa. I looked at their 11 losses and thought they aren't that good but they made a lot of tough shots in the lane and got some second chance points, seemed like that led to at least 8-10 points not sure.
Didn't they basically hit all of their FTs? Unreal.

Nico isn’t the answer for this teams woes but played inspired ball and showed a lot. Really happy for him as he earned it.
The answer to this teams woes is having a guy who can run things late. I don't care who it is. If he's going to handle the ball, run the offense and make open shots....he plays. This is a team that is that particular position away from being 22-5 vs 20-7. We flat out wet ourselves into two losses. I'll leave the Northwestern loss out of it to be conservative.

Going to be honest: I'd like to see Nico start in one of these games to see if he can contribute early on--by hitting some early threes.

Ty's FT shooting is suspect, although he's improving as of late. I do feel Ty can be out there in the end, but not as a PG. He can defend, and be a apart of a smaller lineup if need be.
