Should make it clear that no one really knows exactly how much NIL people have ... Whatever people tell you ... It's probably 500k more than they've got and with these football schools ... They have a ton of NIL but how much do they really give to hoops ... It kinda varies YOY ... But from everything I have gathered this would be my list ...

1. Illinois
2. Indiana
3. Michigan State
4. Rutgers
5. Maryland
6. Purdue
7. Michigan
8. Nebraska
9. Ohio State
10. Wisconsin
11. Minnesota
12. Iowa
13. Penn State
14. NW

Would you take UIC over NIU or EIU? I think I would. I think Geoff gets a turn sooner or later.

Is Geoff looked at more fondly by the broader coaching profession than he is by IL fans?

He doesn't seem to get much credit here
He’s an assistant coach for a well respected head coach for a top 15 program. Plus his dad is one of the most well respected high school coaches in the state. Geoff is well liked in the state. He’d get looked at for a lot of in state jobs

Is it? Moser was mediocre at Arkansas Little Rock, mediocre at Illinois State, got a unicorn at Loyola and won big, and has been mediocre at Oklahoma.

I don't think being mediocre at DePaul gets you much more than 15 wins, because they are so far behind the rest of their conference.
That is FIVE TIMES the about of wins that they'll have this year. That would be incredible jump, as you noted....in an elite conference. That would probably put them in a Seton Hall/St. John's scenario. He also knows the area from a recruiting standpoint.

They'd have some mediocre years with a sprinkling of the unicorn tournament years(either NIT or NCAA).

With winning will bring more fans, more fans bring more revenue and with more revenue brings the ability to spend at least a LITTLE NIL money.

It's a decent name taking over a pretty much dead program. That would absolutely be a home run hire.
