Would you want to play/coach at a school where you have one league opponent within 800 miles? I wouldn't. I expect there to be a great downtrend in the Pac12 schools that joined the Big10.How is UCLA such a mess? On paper, they shouldn’t lose a coach to anyone, let alone Michigan.
(I am not putting stock in that account, just thinking about how Cronin has been floated for theoretically inferior jobs before.)
Can Diebler recruit? Taking over midseason and leading an already objectively talented team on a run is one thing, but building and sustaining a program is another beast.I don’t know … He sure did give them something to think about after tonight …
uhhh....Terry is likely to make the tournament and has a top 10 recruit coming and two guys in the 50-70 range. It could be worse in Texas. Can Diebler recruit? We do seem to get transfers that want to get back close to home, so the recruiting might just have a delayed return.Love it or hate it, the world of in-state high school recruiting that defined the Weber/Groce era is just completely gone, most likely never to return.
I agree and now we have a lot more to offer now - NIL$$, a winning program, and development of players. We do seem to get transfers that want to get back close to home, so the recruiting might just have a delayed return.
Part of me is disgusted by the AJ Storr possibility, I don't think transfers of star players between conference rivals ought to be normalized, but I'm also a sucker for in-state kids, so I'm conflicted. We do seem to get transfers that want to get back close to home, so the recruiting might just have a delayed return.
So more money to purchase a bunch of loud sportcoats?
Howard just got Oats paid.

(Just kidding on that - I think. But Oats does have quite the sportcoat collection . . .)
Channeling his inner Wimp Sanderson, or at least paying some sort of tribute to him. But I do enjoy the breakout from the more common wear of half-zips, polos, and sneakers that we see a lot.Hes got some style game.

Diebler to Ohio State is a done deal ...
As I reported here days ago ... If he beat us ... The job was his without a doubt ... He got dang close which was good enough for Ohio State ...
Especially since Dusty turned them down ... And Sean turned them down ... And others did as well ...
But they'll spin it positively ... As they should ... Diebler did a great job after taking over ...
Just got off the phone with an agent ... He's hearing the Iowa job may be open as well ...
