Would you want to play/coach at a school where you have one league opponent within 800 miles? I wouldn't. I expect there to be a great downtrend in the Pac12 schools that joined the Big10.
Can Diebler recruit? Taking over midseason and leading an already objectively talented team on a run is one thing, but building and sustaining a program is another beast.

uhhh....Terry is likely to make the tournament and has a top 10 recruit coming and two guys in the 50-70 range. It could be worse in Texas.

We do seem to get transfers that want to get back close to home, so the recruiting might just have a delayed return.

Part of me is disgusted by the AJ Storr possibility, I don't think transfers of star players between conference rivals ought to be normalized, but I'm also a sucker for in-state kids, so I'm conflicted.
