Not a bad guess, especially in their home country, and Canada and Brazil have both lost already (Brazil lost to Belize surprisingly).I think there's a decent chance that the USA team has already played the 2nd best team in this tournament.
Only criticism I had of Morez is that he let a few rebounds go through his hands. You really have to secure everything in high major play.Rez has looked as good as you can in a 50 point blowout. Changes ends well and making quick decisions to outlet and challenging shots. Had a nice sequence at the end of his PT sealing and dunking (nice entry pass from Fears) and then blocking a 3 pt shot on the other end.
Fears has looked a little less clean, but the game is super choppy so not sure you can make big proclamations on his game.
You are probably right this year, but he appears to be pretty smooth and has great touch around the rim. He also seems to be a plus rim protector. After (if) he can put on some mass, he is definitely going to be trouble.I don't think Jacobsen is really going to give anyone in the B1G trouble this year. He is really thin, awkward and doesn't have good timing on his rebounding. There are much bigger big men in the B1G that are going to push him around.
So Bombosa is Spanish for Schmack? It sounds like they’re mixing a little Japanese into their español…
I’m loving each three-pointer is a bombosa(bombshell)
That, and the fringes on the nets…
¡Más Jeremiah y Morez, por favor!
Their population is comparable to East Central Illinois alone, for reference.Belize was brutal
Few rebounds and passes slipped through his fingers and he was stripped (or fouled) putting the ball down to dribble, when he could just go up and trying to bring ball up court (handles not good enough - should pass it). But he is a raw talent that will get much better at Illinois, learn inside moves, develops better positioning defensively and for rebounds and makes improved habits.Only criticism I had of Morez is that he let a few rebounds go through his hands. You really have to secure everything in high major play.
Would love to see it.....Trent Meacham...? Mike Latulip? It’s been a few years, but I think I could put up 10 against Belize.
Great reps for Morez/JF playing alongside elite talent though. That’s the main takeaway from this tournament.
I think Meacham played overseas for a bit. Unless he got drastically out of shape I'd imagine he could still drop 40 on that level of competition.Would love to see it.....Trent Meacham...? Mike Latulip?
