74-24 USA .............halftime......................wow...............

US is looking good today. Belize is completely outmatched. As for our guys, Morez is cleaning up the boards and Fears is playing like the point guard we want at Illinois. Fears had a really nice put-back in the second quarter.

I think there's a decent chance that the USA team has already played the 2nd best team in this tournament.

Rez has looked as good as you can in a 50 point blowout. Changes ends well and making quick decisions to outlet and challenging shots. Had a nice sequence at the end of his PT sealing and dunking (nice entry pass from Fears) and then blocking a 3 pt shot on the other end.

Fears has looked a little less clean, but the game is super choppy so not sure you can make big proclamations on his game.

Only criticism I had of Morez is that he let a few rebounds go through his hands. You really have to secure everything in high major play.

I don't think Jacobsen is really going to give anyone in the B1G trouble this year. He is really thin, awkward and doesn't have good timing on his rebounding. There are much bigger big men in the B1G that are going to push him around.
You are probably right this year, but he appears to be pretty smooth and has great touch around the rim. He also seems to be a plus rim protector. After (if) he can put on some mass, he is definitely going to be trouble.

Morez seems to get just about every ball that bounces in his general direction. You gotta like that as an Illini fan.

Few rebounds and passes slipped through his fingers and he was stripped (or fouled) putting the ball down to dribble, when he could just go up and trying to bring ball up court (handles not good enough - should pass it). But he is a raw talent that will get much better at Illinois, learn inside moves, develops better positioning defensively and for rebounds and makes improved habits.
