And Whitman is aware of this if true?
Yes … Not a secret Brad’s agent is hunting for other jobs and more specifically talking to Texas …

Consistent with Klee's reporting on the podcast that was posted yesterday https://www.news-gazette.com/wdws/ on what broke KJ. The team looks broken down right now.I believe it’s more his “scream in your face, insult your family, break you down “ mentality. If you think I am making this up, I am not. I know firsthand from players and players’ families. He has mellowed a bit but still, that’s BU.
So much for ILL being the "dream job".Yes … Not a secret Brad’s agent is hunting for other jobs and more specifically talking to Texas …
I assume to keep his son as an assistant coach. The writing is on the wall here (or at least it should be).Yes … Not a secret Brad’s agent is hunting for other jobs and more specifically talking to Texas …
You can't be serious that Brad still thinks the staff is fine? I mean, based on his post game interviews, I guess what you're saying is being confirmed. Almost everything Brad is saying puts the blame on the players for not executing and almost nothing about how inept the coaching has been.Bingo … We need 3 new assistants …
My problem is that Brad doesn’t see anything wrong with the coaching right now !!!! I have ZERO confidence in his ability to listen to other coaches … He thinks Tyler is some sort of genius and Hamer is a defensive guru when he suggests we dork 50+% 3 point shooters …
He’s sort of like Muss … Constant staff turnover and people who really would prefer to not work for him …
To be fair, the feelings are becoming mutual. He is definitely not the "dream Illini coach" for most of us.So much for ILL being the "dream job".
uhhh... Rutgers THIS year??Truer words have never been spoken.
Who is generating a better ROI on NIL...Underwood or Bielema? It is not even remotely close.
With Underwood on the bench, we spot everyone we play a 10-point lead. He generally can overcome that due to a huge talent advantage...but not this year.
I would almost rather see Weber get the most out of marginal talent than Underwood waste the talent he buys.
Has there ever been an NCAA coach with TWO Round 1 NBA players who failed to make the tourney?
It's just absolutely striking how quickly we went from the rise to Final four contender in December to trending in a direction that could cause us to miss the tournament in a little over a month. Absolutely astounding. That's not something that can be blamed solely on illness, but it also feels like a stretch to say it's purely on BU, either. After all, it's still the same players, staff, and approach that were absolutely blitzing high-level teams two months ago and drawing comparison to the '89 team. Recall, that actually was still this same season.
The more I think about it, the less I understand just what the heck is happening with our team and program. It defies all logic.
This season has very much pushed me into the "Brad skeptic" camp. I'd be fine with him staying if he can stop the bleeding and make some meaningful staff changes. But if not... oof.
My thoughts exactly. IL only real goal long term is to win a title. Once it becomes clear the guy in charge can’t do that it’s time to move on. From Bruce that was like 2008. For groce it was his 3rd year. And of course they both got multiple years after that.Isn’t the goal here to win a national title?
I want to hear from someone what they have seen to make them believe this “coach” is the guy who can do that.
The loss to Loyola should’ve made people question a few things. The nepotism hiring should have answered some of those questions. The staff and player departures of the last few years should have answered the rest. Hubris explains a lot.
We waited years too long to replace the two previous coaches. Let’s not make that mistake again.

I think you are spot on, and I will add that I just cannot envision Josh Whitman hiring him based on those allegations and police reports. I don't really care that the charges got dismissed. There are other options, and Whitman would find someone else rather than deal with the blow-back from administration and some fans.I still don't want Beard. If I can't defend myself from my wife without beating the hell out of her, I don't belong in a leadership position, especially as a leader of young men.
I watched Knight pulling that crap and I won't watch an Illini coach that I know is the same type.
Didn't Romar at Washington get fired after a bad season a couple of years back and had 2 or 3 get drafted?Steve Pikiell this year …
