is it weird as an adult to wear clothes with the name of a college kid on it? need some opinions because this is 🔥
I hope not because I ordered that hoodie and a Wagler jersey already.

Just for reference...
And yes, I take full credit for being the first person on here to mention him being the Freshman 🐐
I’m sorry y’all… I just could not resist going back to this interaction. I would not put it past being the single most hysterical collection of posts I’ve read on here.

Please shall we all add Jan 24, 2026 Keaton game at Mackey to the list.

Wagler was unstoppable. He was a (young) man amongst boys. He could have had 55 easy. Every time he wanted to, he was either going to hit a shot or go to the line.
He looked like an NBA starter who was on loan for this game.
As Andy Kaufman’s tutor, I’m somewhat glad he didn’t surpass Jacksonville’s finest on the single game scoring list. 😁

Good interview by Painter. Think he is a class guy even though I will get a lot of disagreement here.

I liked that we played a variety of defenses in this game...we switched throughout the game from man...to some zone...some full court and half court token pressure to keep the Boilers off guard. Don't think I've seen us switch it up as much as we did yesterday....but I liked it....good job BU and staff

Watched Purdue's postgame press videos. Man are they dejected. Players said very little other than we got beat.

Painter said, I look at the stat sheet, we shot 57%, 37% from 3, 82% from the line, and turn it over 3 times. That's a win.
Until I look at the rebounding. And of course Wagler.

Fun fact, Keaton had no rebounds - do better! 😉
He didn’t leave much opportunity.

Keaton's going to get the vast majority of the praise for this game -- and by all means he should -- but David had a heck of a game. TKR was very physical and benefited from a few BS calls. David stayed very composed, led the team in rebounds (tied w/ Tomi), and hit some huge shots. Was able to bring the ball up the court when they switched the defense late to try and pressure Keaton in the backcourt. Just a solid, solid game for a freshman.
Reminds me of Ayo & Georgi freshman year...version 2.0

One more thing about this team...Ty Rodgers isn't even back yet.

Anybody know if he's coming back this season? Because there's another lockdown defender and tenacious rebounder both offensively and defensively (And I like how he contributes to the offense...his game should be much improved).
I ran into Ty at the Westin in St. Louis before the bragging rights game and he said he was coming back this season. Let's hope so.

I'd just like to join everyone reminding us fans to enjoy Keaton Wagler while he's playing in orange and blue

What you said is now a big key to being a College Sports fan in today’s era.

Every single game is now more than ever a thing to be enjoyed and savored all on its own. Every season (all by itself) is the thing. With NIL and The Portal we know that the Game has fundamentally changed forever. And quickly, nothing is the same any more.

Every Season starts totally fresh and different – a clean slate. Almost no program’s team makeup of players is ever going to be the same from one season to the next. Every game and season must be enjoyed on its own terms knowing it is temporary and fleeting.

It’s a different way of looking at how to approach your fandom from how things were before. But it still can be fun to enjoy the built-in fast-change and turnover and in how you can become very good, very fast... as a certain football program just East of Champaign proved this past season.

He assisted on 2 of the 4… Jake got the assist on David’s 3 and there was no official assist on Tomi’s first 3 (he and Jake Davis made that happen with Jake faking the baseline cut and popping back out and Tomi’s subsequent fake)

The point wasn’t to take away from anything Keaton did, but simply to show that pretty much everyone that was on the floor made big plays down the stretch
I think only 1 of 4 were credited as an assist to Keaton since Jake’s 3 was after a fake and dribble. Still, great unselfish play by everyone down the stretch regardless of the stats.

I’m sure it’s a small sample size but I can’t remember Jake missing a fake, step aside, and shoot.

Also, Ben seems to make them at a higher clip when he’s rushed.

Wagler = Elite
