Another amazing aspect of Keaton's 46 is he was doing it on his own. No one was setting him up with passes. No designed plays. The ball was in his hands and he developed the play. Unless there is a defensive person that is big enough and quick enough to stay with him, it looks like he can have his way. Even if someone can cover him, he is not going to force it. Simply lay it off to someone else.

Great game to watch between two great teams. Even though times Purdue would get ahead, I never felt Illini couldn't come back. Felt confident all the way to the wire, as I was tense and glued to the flat screen. I has wanted for Illini to blow out Purdue, MI State, Michigan and Nebraska and show the whole country, the Illini are the best and most offensively balanced and dangerous team. But I am happy to get a meaningful win at Mackey with Boswell out and Mirkovich hobbled.
Frequently being a good ballhandler involves not dribbling if it's not necessary.

This is exactly why you need 5 guys who can score and why Ben H. was so frustrating last year. If the defense has to respect all 5 players as shooters, it opens up the floor so much. If they can sag off of a guy safely and play the odds they won't hit a three, then they take away a lot of other passing and driving lanes and force you to go to that low-percentage shooter or to take a low-percentage shot by a good shooter.

It is nice to win against one of the countries best teams on the road! Also pretty damn nice when that team brought their A game as did we! Missing one of oir best players too! Damn! Great game from both teams!
This made my Sunday.
The only thing better as a visiting team than seeing home team fans leaving before the game is over accepting the loss is getting to watch this scene in Mackey Arena with the Illini on the court being responsible for it.
Add, Miz, Indy, Wisconsin, and Mich to that. I have a long list of dislikes in the Big 10!
