honestly if QC can just bring this effort and all around game, even without the shooting, he becomes a great 4th or 5th option! with the shooting, watching out!
Basically just be Kylan but shoot at least 33-34% from deep… seems doable to me.
It’s crazy he’s getting these rebounding stats when he’s built more like a Christie than, say a Jordan Goodwin or RaVonte Rice.
Huge difference maker even when the ball isn’t going in. Can’t wait to see what he looks like after Fletch puts 15-20 pounds of good weight on him.

I hope the Illini 3pt shooting curse isn’t hitting already. (from everything I’ve seen said about him, he is a very good shooter)
I feel good about his shooting. There is no rhythm to these FIBA games so far - no need to play the game correctly because the comp is so inferior; ball movement, teammate movement, opposing defender movement is all unpredictable. You get the ball when you don't expect it and vice-versa. He's gotten a lot of attempts but over half have been second-chance. Ethical hooper, as they say.

That myth was debunked long ago anyhow
Simple statistical before/after analysis proved out that players shot about the same percentage from 3 here as they did at their prior stops overall (yet with plenty of outliers which are what color folks' perceptions, imo)
Wagler and Davis certainly didn't seem to be affected!

Are they using the FIBA ball as well? An excuse I know but I remember the last euro trip we went on, Brad mentioned that’s a bit of a factor with shooting.
They are using the FIBA ball. There is a weight and size difference. Never really thought about it much, but a very good point you bring up!
I think we were the tallest team in the country last year. I would imagine we will be in the running for that again this year.
So much of our offense’s efficiency/success is predicated on offensive rebounding.
