Quentin Coleman on the USA U18 National Team

#107
Finished with 7pts, 10rebs, 5ast, no turnovers.

1/5 from 3 is a negative, but did just about everything else.
thanks for the updates!

anyone standout in this game? was the effort better overall?

honestly if QC can just bring this effort and all around game, even without the shooting, he becomes a great 4th or 5th option! with the shooting, watching out!

Basically just be Kylan but shoot at least 33-34% from deep… seems doable to me.

I hope the Illini 3pt shooting curse isn’t hitting already. (from everything I’ve seen said about him, he is a very good shooter)
I feel good about his shooting. There is no rhythm to these FIBA games so far - no need to play the game correctly because the comp is so inferior; ball movement, teammate movement, opposing defender movement is all unpredictable. You get the ball when you don't expect it and vice-versa. He's gotten a lot of attempts but over half have been second-chance. Ethical hooper, as they say.

Good lord..that curse enabled a final four..give me all kinds of "curses" like that

That myth was debunked long ago anyhow

Simple statistical before/after analysis proved out that players shot about the same percentage from 3 here as they did at their prior stops overall (yet with plenty of outliers which are what color folks' perceptions, imo)

Wagler and Davis certainly didn't seem to be affected!

Quentin will continue the tradition of great rebounding Illini guards. Killing it at U18 12.5 rbg in first 2 games. A

2026 - Quentin ___
2025 - Keaton 5 rbg kylan 4 rbg
2024 Kaspar 6 rbg Kylan 5 rbg
2023 Marcus 5 rbg
2021 Ayo 6 rbg
2020 Ayo 4 rbg

Stefan is 6'7" he can certainly improve on last seasons 2.5 rbg. Our positional size on defense will be just as good as last year

Tomas 7'1" SR
David 6'9" SO
Andrej 6'7" SR
Stefan 6'7" SO
Quentin 6'4" FR
-------
Jake 6' 6" SR
Big Z 7'2" SR
Lucas 6'7" FR

We will probably be tallest team in B10 again. We may be most experienced team in B10
