Purdue gotta be somewhere in that third.Right now, I think:
1) Illinois
2) Michigan
3) Michigan State
GAP
4) USC
GAP
5) Nebraska
6) Indiana
7) Iowa
USC has a better roster than Illinois and likely the best roster in the big ten. Doesn’t mean they’ll finish ahead of us, but fair to point it out.
See, that's the fun I log in here daily for:Obviously what happens in practice will be the determiner, but I still think Zens is the likeliest 9th man.
That's a good way to put it.If Illinois had gotten Andrej, Tomislav, Mirkovic, Jake, and Z in the portal this year, you would not be saying this.
I'm honestly kind of uncomfortable with how much I'm rooting for Purdue next year. They are the true spirit of college basketball, and the way that experiment goes positive or negative will serve as a lesson to everyone else.Purdue gotta be somewhere in that third.
As much as I despise Izzo on game day......he's recruit and develop within guy as well. It does still work. That's a good way to put it.

I want the nation, Brad included, to see that development and cultural continuity works.
No PurdueRight now, I think:

Or Wisconsin! No Purdue. I like it.
Starting 5: Illinois
Depth: USC
However their starting 5 is significantly closer to our starting 5, than our depth is to their depth.

Ok…. I see where you are going!Dodged a bullet since Booth is no longer on the roster.
Yep and of those five, it's possible only three of them start, prob 4 though IMO, but regardless we're gonna have a great starting 5 AND a great benchThis is an absurd take.
If Illinois had gotten Andrej, Tomislav, Mirkovic, Jake, and Z in the portal this year, you would not be saying this.
You beat me to it. Wisconsin is the same way.
Wasn't it Eddie Johnson, during the Final Four, who made a point that we need to transfer our success into keeping the top kids(especially the CPL kids) home?
I get his sentiment, but the top player in 2026 looks like he'd be locked in the highly touted battle for the coveted 9th man position. Plenty of competition there.
Bingo. Muss needs to prove he can winRight now, I think:
1) Illinois

Love love love this pick up! He will contribute. Gives us a fast break option, easy put backs and a pesky defender.
Having 11 quality guys will do nothing but help. Practices will be ULTRA competitive, and we shouldn’t be in a situation where we are playing a total of 6 guys in a Big Ten game.
I did not enjoy that experience.

I think they will be good but a big step down from last year. Still have a ton of talent. Why is everyone so high on Michigan? Yes, Dusty May is an excellent coach, but you don’t just replace Yaxel, Morez and Mara. That frontcourt was special.
IMO, this should be good for another 10+ pages, amirite? So what’s our take on the #10thman? We good? Or are there concerns there?
