Chaim is doing a masterful job even though Moz drafted most. Trading away Arenado Gray Contreras Nootbar May and Romero gave the kids playing time to improve / sjow themselves. I think we are a wikd card yeam mext year if the pitching improves as much

Happy Gray Contreras May Romero will be in playoffs. Arenado had decent bounce back but no lomger sll star

I think we have our 120 game catcher for next year. Batting .311 with 17 rbis in 18 games. Leads team with .87 OPS. Won minor league gold glove at a catcher. He is 2 for 2 throwing out runners. They barely try.

Trade Herrara for pitching please.

This is crazy. It feels like Albert's first season. .329 39 HR 130 RBIS, 6.6-7.2 WAR

Lets keep losing to get a great draft pick :LOL: We are currently between 9th and 15th lottery odds. We have never drafted 1 or 2. In 1996 we drafted 3rd and got Braden Looper . In their defense it was a weak 1st round. Mark Kotsay went 9th and Eric Chavez went 10th.

So, we're gonna say that a player who hasn't even had 100 ABs yet on the major league level is a future hall of famer...

His prospect rep was all defense so if he's actually able to hang around as a league average or slightly above hitter, then he's definitely the better option than Crooks long term. But a 22 year old catcher who put up a 116 wRC+ in his first taste of the majors is definitely exciting.

Whoever the catcher ends up being gets supplanted by Rainiel Rodriguez at some point anyway, if he's able to stick at catcher (they had him playing a good amount of 1B in AA this year, he's no C defensive whiz). That's the one with HOF odds between the two (but like... 5% vs. 1%).

Between Bernal and Rodriguez Bernal is the better defensive catcher and has a better arm. Rodriguez projects as a plus offensive player so full time DH/part time catcher might be his spot. Get that bat in the lineup daily. I'm not sold on Herrera at DH, he's faded in the 2nd half so we will see how he does next year. Rodriguez might be a late 2027 arrival or 2028.
