West Texas/Panhandle is just a different place to live. Cant lump Dallas/Austin/ San Antonio/Houston in with it. It's been over 30 years since I left Champaign for Dallas and there is no way I could live out where Tech is.

He is making money , but has been on 4 teams in 2 years. I think teams think he can fit in, but then he gets there & doesnt. We had big hopes for him when he first came to the Mavericks, but his role/effectiveness lessened up until his trade to the Knicks.

Both my kids went to Arkanasas, my ex went there, his whole family went there, the whole state goes to University of Arkansas and NO ONE liked BB when he was the head coach there. Just saying............

Every NBA team needs a "Brian Cardinal" type player to do the dirty work. Brian was beloved in Dallas on their championship team for what he contributed to their success- The "Custodian". Garza can be that guy & more with his shot making ability.

Remember how we thought losing Tilmon to Missouri was bad- he has only averaged 8.8 points & 4.8 rebounds per game over 3 years. You just never know. I would love to have Hopkins, but if he chooses someone else trust our staff to land the next one.
