Not good for Illinois. If it's going to be the Illini, why not announce in the SJO gym and hear all of the applause from students and other Illini fans? With the Pat McAfee Show announcement, I'm guessing it's Notre Dame. Or maybe Oregon.

That's good to know! Relax. No need to invoke God. ☺️

I've been suggesting that Illinois should consider adding transfer 6'9", 245-pound, junior PF David Fuchs (San Francisco) as a possible backup for David Mirkovic. Fuchs averaged 12.7/7.8/1.4 this past season while shooting 51.7/30.3/64.5 for the Dons. I just read an article stating that Indiana...

Illinois should increase their recruiting efforts with Pettigrew. Get him on a visit to Champaign.

I just read on a site today that Class of 2028 Brady Pettigrew is a 6'4", 185-pound Combo Guard. If true, maybe he's outgrown Brad Underwood's alleged bias (per many posters) against recruiting/playing short Guards. The kid is an athletic stud recruit. I'd love to see him play for the Illini.

Cole Kelly looks like he would be the perfect fit for the Illini at Small Forward. The position that Andrej Stojakovic will be playing this season. Sounds like Duke will be competing in this recruiting battle.

6'4" PG/CG Christian Bliss (Delaware) is apparently still available in the transfer portal. Bliss averaged 16.7/5.2/5.9 while shooting 42.4/39.2/84.8 this past season for the Blue Hens. I would imagine that Bliss would at least want the opportunity to compete for minutes, and possibly for a...

I still believe that 6'9", 245-pound, junior PF David Fuchs (San Francisco) would be a great fit (and probably affordable) as a transfer to Illinois. Fuchs, born in Vienna [Austria], averaged 12.7/7.8/1.4 last season [in 24.0 minutes/game], while shooting 51.7/30.3/64.5 for the Dons. I admit...

He performed very well at the PIT. I think Boswell wants to, and should, pursue the professional route, whether that means being drafted or signing as a FA with an NBA team. Seems like that might be better for KB and Illinois.

Illinois allegedly couldn't play Stojakovic and Boswell together last season because of their shooting. If Boswell (CG) would be starting next season for the Illini, I wouldn't want Stojakovic to again lose his starting SF position. And if Boswell were to return, and obviously be paid NIL...

I've got another possible backup PF in the transfer portal: 6'9", 245-pound, junior PF David Fuchs (San Francisco). He averaged 12.7/7.8/1.4 in 24.0 mpg last season, while shooting 51.7/30.3/64.5 for the Dons. I know, I know: Illinois doesn't have the money for this addition. That was all money...

6'3' junior PG/CG Jalen Cox had very good stats for Colgate in the 25-26 season. He averaged 17.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.3 assists in 29.7 minutes/game. He shot 52.1% on FGs, including 36.5% on 3-pointers (0.6-1.7/game), and 85.0% on FTs. Cox was named 1st Team All-Conference on Defense...

I'd like to see the Illini add players for the last two open roster spots. And these are my 2 specific suggestions via the transfer portal.6'3", 190-pound, junior PG Tylen Riley (Tulsa) and 6'10", 210-pound, senior PF Kyle Evans (UC Irvine). [If they are still available in the portal.] Tylen...
