Insight appreciated! I'm usually pretty good at skimming for you and others worth listening to, must have missed that over the last couple days. I'm also not the most active here in general. Thanks for being willing to re-address it!
I'm surprised how little Coleman's tweet has been talked about this morning and no insider comments on it, or are we all just too conditioned to his trolling?
I wasn't referring to literally averaging out fouls/FTs... They started to let quite a bit go as the game went on and we got our own ticky-tack fouls on Purdue. They had some bad calls both ways and maybe a hair slightly not in our favor, but I think a lot of people are over-selling the refs...
Fun fact, not all teams foul at exactly the same rate nor are all fouls shooting fouls/in the bonus. So a FT disparity doesn't automatically equate to totally garbage officiating. And are you saying we SHOULD get home cookin' from the refs on our floor? What garbage is that? They should be...
I actually did watch this at home and replayed multiple calls. The refs weren't perfect (shocker!), but it averaged out roughly in the end. They let some stupid !!!! go from our team too. If you've actually watched every game this year, there is no objective way you can say this was the worst...
It wasn't that lopsided by the end. You can't blame this one on the officials. This was a really good and hard fought game where we had little room for error. Needed Kofi still in the game late, but some of his fouls were silly on his part.
