Ok, this is the last thing I'll say about the refs (I'm lying) ( and maybe a little drunk).
For those of you (you know who you are) arguing for the referees....you are saying that they are "human" and "make mistakes"....then saying that fouls are fouls or "fouls call themselves" and that referees have no impact on the outcome.
So you are essentially contradicting yourselves while trying to make an impossible argument.
Furthermore, let the record show that even if you take 2 fouls away from Kofi and maybe one away from Payne...while giving an extra 3 fouls divided however you like between Edey and Williams, (refs are human, mistakes..blah blah), this puts Kofi on the floor for many more minutes in the second half (which Illinois won BTW) and reduces Edey and Williams minutes in that same half.
Note that those 3 fouls don't statistically "even" things up...so in essence...the referees could have potentially made even more mistakes.....thus impacting the game
even more than I'm suggesting with these measly 3 fouls.
It is unimpeachable logic that this had an undeniable impact on this game. It's beyond any logical argument to think that more Kofi minutes minus fewer Edey/Williams minutes does not change the outcome of this game.
Not even mentioning that Edey or Williams playing with 3 or 4 fouls...like Kofi...COMPLETELY changes the way they play the rest of the game.
If you are arguing for the refs....your argument is illogical and based on contradiction.
If you are arguing against the refs...you argument is based on concrete facts and logic, as admitted by the opposing argument. (refs are human and make mistakes).
