2015-16 Blackhawks

For me anyway, the Blackhawks have entered '90s Bulls territory in terms of trusting them in the postseason.

If there is a correlation between how much I care about the regular season vs post season now compared to several years ago I imagine there must be with them too. This group will be a real tough team to beat 4 times.

Can't really depend on their ability to flip the switch. They need to get out of this funk. Yeah, they won two (against bottom feeders). Tonight will be a test though. The Wild have had the Hawks' number and they're fighting for a PO spot. As close as you can get to a PO game.

It's definitely good news that Kruger has some games before to POs to get ready. 4th line was killer last year. Hope for more of the same.

The Hawks have been mostly great the past 6 seasons. But The Cup is the hardest team title to win. Hawks will have to beat the Blues, Stars (either way), Kings or Ducks, Caps (or ???). That's a tall order.

Minnesota beats the Hawks again and sweeps the season series. The only other times the Hawks have been swept in a five or six game season series was twice in the 1930s.

No defending it. If he gets 3 games, he's lucky.

Didn't mean to come across as thinking you were. I should have been more deliberate in my post.

3 games would be very lucky indeed. I'm betting he misses the rest of the regular season (5 games) and maybe a handful of, if not the entirety, of the opening playoff series.

It's all good (Saul Goodman, lol). Wasn't assuming your viewpoint, just saying Keith has nothing to stand on. Idiotic.

If the suspension runs into the POs, Hawks are sunk.

In-person hearing for Keith, so he's probably going to miss some PO games. So friggin' stupid.

That means 6 or more games. 5 or less, a phone hearing is what happens. He can waive the in-person hearing if he wants to.

I was thinking 5 but maybe they'll appeal down to 5. Who knows? Bad move on Keith's part for sure.

Keith gets 6 game suspension. Sounds about right. Will only miss 1 playoff game.

TVR and Seabrook should *never* be paired.

TVR is a 3rd pairing D-man. Gus should be the #4. TVR has good hockey IQ, versatility (plays both sides), but he's S-L-O-W. What Q sees in TVR, I have no clue.

Need Crow back. Rumor is he's out with a concussion. Bad.

That would be especially awesome if it came against the Yotes.

Hossa and Shaw both absent from this morning's skate. In other news, Crawford is out there.

The second season starts Wednesday. Geez, what is up with the late starts....
http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/loca...d-Playoff-Schedule-Stanley-Cup-375193551.html

Kane wins the Art Ross and Breadman scores a huge bonus (which counts against next years cap). All indications are that our walking wounded will all be ready to go by puck drop.

The late starts happen every year. NHL doesn't want overlap, so we pay. Total BS. Oh, well.

Panarin's bonus, though well earned, comes at a cost: Shaw is gone in the off season.

As to the series, contain Tarasenko's line, get solid D and goaltending and that should do it. Blues have strong D and goaltending. Should be a great series.
