I'll withhold final judgment until the whole rotation gets a turn, but so far I'm not a fan of cutting the number of starts the guys got in spring training. Not very sharp for Waino or wacha.

Wacha was getting hit hard tonight, but he was battling through it. Got really unlucky on that double play ball with the bases loaded when Diaz made the error. About the simplest double play a SS could ask for, and he messed it up.

But now it's the battle of the bullpens.

Peralta makes that play, but we also know Diaz doesn't have the best glove.

Just tuned in. Ugh. I saw the score when we were ip 5-2. This is disappointing.

Maness was good tonight. 5 ground balls, a K, and a walk. The offense has to find a way to score a run. They had 3 lead off hitters get on in the final 4 innings and couldn't score.

But there were positives tonight. It was good to see the offense get some runs off a lefty starter, Gyorko looked good, and the bullpen was pretty much perfect.

I thought all the bullpen guys looked good. Wacha was getting a lot of balls hit hard, and that's why we lost. If diaz makes the play on that double play, but it was wacha who put all those guys on in the first place. Honesy, I probably would have pulled Wacha after the first hit in that inning. He had been getting hammered all night and his pitch count was up. You could see it coming a mile away

No more Yadi batting 5th, please.

Yes. He should be batting 7 or 8.

Marco going to see California to seek a second opinion on his elbow, his !!!!ing elbow.
Oh-my-!!!!.gif

And arguably our best pitcher in spring training walks in a run in his first inning and throws 42 pitches in the process

Starting to really think cutting spring innings was a bad idea. Not looking sharp at all

I'll take it if it means being healthy and still having plenty of juice in September/October. It just sucks we have to play a very important series right away. MLB should make the first 2 or 3 series each year interleague games.

He's settled down, but our hitting, oye, is not pretty at all. Another 5 K's through 4

Seriously why is our aging slow as heck can't hit extra bases catcher batting 5th? I love Yadi for defense and what he does for pitching but I'm over him batting 5th.
