One more thing: I'm rooting for Auburn (just advanced to semis).
Why? Well, obviously, their colors are O & B.

Any school that hires Satan doesn't deserve to wear those colors. One more thing: I'm rooting for Auburn (just advanced to semis).

You know we're spoiled as Illinois golf fans when 11th in the nation is a disappointing finish.
I wouldn't count Illini out for upcoming season.
Experience plus some great new recruits.
By the way, O'Reilly and recruit Armbrust are in Monday qualifier for Rust-Oleum next week.
I plan to watch them at qualifier and Hardy at Ivanhoe.
Illini may - may - have a down year, but I think Coach Small has re-loaded. Please check out the 2018 Illini class. Looks good. Very good. Especially this Noah G. from Indiana who has described Illinois as his "dream school." That's what a winning program does: attracts the best.
They've got another highly ranked Belgian coming in as well. Top 100 in the Amatuer world rankings already, or close to it.
2 IHSA champions and the kid from Indiana was the Indiana State champ as well. Very good class, but young.
Yes, young. But I think Okla State is getting it done with a freshman or two. Got to check.
Feagles and Baumgarten showed flashes this season; let's hope they become more consistent. And Gio might break out of that sophomore jinx - if there is one.
I'm not worried about Illinois golf as long as Coach Small is there.

I think there is going to be some serious competition for playing time. That's the way it should be.

Wow, how do you get 3 years in a row? That's got to be on different courses. There certainly is no shortage of excellent venues.
Feagles dropped his avg. strokes per round from 73.11 to 72.45 since last year. Baumgarten went from 75.25 to 72.47 while Gio went from 73.97 to 73.29. Compare those scores to the soph. scores for Hardy - 72.62 and Meyer - 72.13. There's hope.
Update: heard back from Jackie, golf director (or whatever) at U of I. Boy, is she helpful.
Nick, maybe Langley, Campbell will play at Ivanhoe.
Coach is playing In Iowa and Wisconsin soon at PGA events.
Hardy not only will play at Ivanhoe but also in Springfield - Illinois, that is.
John Deere: Stricker, I'm sure, plus D.A. Points and others.
GO ILLINI!

Any word on Guthrie playing at the Rustoleum?
Langley playing well so far today on the web.com. 3 under through 9. Campbell finished his round at -2, Guthrie even through 4. Leaders are at -7.

Thanks for the update. My kids and I have gone up to the Deere 3 of the last 4 years, either on Friday or Saturday. Probably do one of the weekend days again. Decent ticket discounts for college aged kids and HS kids.
Have seen Stricker, Points, Guthrie, Langley, etc play through the years. Make sure you wear Illini gear if you go!
Hardy got a sponsor's exemption for John Deere.
