DJ just come back and play 20 minutes a game here  I will always be disappointed we did not get to see him reach his potential with the :illinois:

I'm glad that we only have guys who want to be here, but I really thought he would have shone in this system.

He was a better PG than Tate that year...

I don't know if I would go that far, but he did have a few games where he played about as good as anyone we had for those games, he also had some really bad one. Tate was a good PG Tate just didn't score. and for what Groce wanted he needed to be able to, but his ASt/TO was always pretty good.

Saw on some site today, over 700 transfers started looking for a new school as of 1st of year. There are still over 200 still looking for a home. McIntosh still not committed, and a few other grads transfer still looking. NBA draft comes soon, those guys are not available if they entered. Wondering why McIntosh, hasn't committed? Might we still have a chance or do we have any feelers out there still?

I thought McIntosh to Oregon was a done deal.

Maybe the Illini have one more trick up their sleeve.

I was very curious to see what programs would have interest in DJ. Wonder if there's a connection here, seems random.

Not a big fan of DC, but we visited GWU recently (My daughter is a water polo player, was a recruiting trip) and they have some pretty nice athletic facilities. It really is a nice (old) campus, that would be a great spot for someone to get away and start over.

If so, should be interesting to see how JCL comments on their new coaching staff, if that's been established yet.

Since it appears that JCL does not have a prejudice against "new" coaching staffs does this mean that there was some kind of friction between our new coaching staff and JCL that made him leave? I know there have been rumors about him not fitting in to the new system but I don't remember if anything has been stated definitively.

Wasn't inferring there had been friction between JCL and the new Illini staff, nor do I know if there was. I just find it interesting for him to be making a visit to Butler soon when their staff is not even set there yet.

Not sure if you would call it friction, but there was reporting that JCL had skipped a few meetings and been late to practice several times since the new staff arrived.
