Jericho Sims? Signed with Texas? How would he get out of his NLOI?
The theory would be that he asked out due to being recruited over with Bamba... seems like pie in the sky to me.

I thought he just signed his LOI a few days ago to UIC?
EDIT: The boingboing dude. I'm not even gonna try and say it!
Signed with them in the fall when Chin was there. Asked out in April. Connect dots.
Eboigbodin
He doesn't look bad at all, seems very athletic and appears to run the court well. Not a terrible looking shot either. Maybe not quite the size we would like but I am definitely ok with him
Number 11?

Edit: According to their website, yes, number 11. https://www.uofdjesuit.org/athletics/teams/details/~athletics-team-id/116
6'9" is a pretty respectable height. I'd still prefer transfer bigs but I dont know if theres any more out there we are looking at.

What a difference some time can make...first clip for sure get him if we can, this clip, looks very methodical...obvious he just started playing as a freshmen, the skill level change is noticeable and dare I say, limitless it seems for the kid.

Why would you rather have transfer bigs just curious ? ? ?

Because Underwood, Antigua and co. started late in the game for 2017. Grad transfers only eat a scholarship for 1 year and hopefully our coaching staff can make inroads with higher rated players starting in 2018.

Makes sense presuming we will get higher rated players at that point. But we have so many open roster spots at this point - much prefer to start filling them with quality freshman prospects and start developing team chemistry. Unless we have so many 2018 high level recruits beating down our doors and we're sure we need to leave room for them, better to start developing the program now and see what happens with those guys later. Getting Eboigbodin isn't going to deter a high level 2018 big from coming, and it'll improve our program because in 2018 Eboigbodin will have a year of experience in the program instead of a one year stop gap who is gone.

Much prefer freshmen over transfers. You build a program with freshmen whom you can develop.

I have no idea how he would get out. Ask & you shall receive? College basketball is a mess with these LOIs and decommits. I do know that Illinois needs at least 2 more bigs.Jericho Sims? Signed with Texas? How would he get out of his NLOI?
What do you know about this dude. I have never heard of him. Seems like a stretch. Been recruited by UIC, now all of a sudden he is a BIG TEN possibility?Eboigbodin
