Lots of really high scores for the afternoon group today! Even Texas is now in good position to make the top-15; they are just a few shots back of making tomorrow's cut
The cream is rising to the top. Of the top-11 teams right now, only Sam Houston is ranked lower than 11--and they are dropping like a rock
I believe worse to first. So everyone within the top 15 will play the afternoon session. We are clear by 14 strokes of 16th place. We are 5 shots clear of 9th place. We shoot anything under par tomorrow and we should be in good shape and everyone needs to show up. Gio and ADC need to pick it up. We play like we are capable and we will be match playing
Top 3 teams will be first group off in the AM on #1. Next 3 teams will be first group off on #10 and so on. Illinois should be in the first wave off of 10 with UNC and Pepperdine.
Monday’s round after the cut everyone will essentially play at the same time. Not sure if that will be AM because of the heat but it is usually in afternoon and televised.
Really solid day for the Illini, 1 of 5 teams under par and these 1st two rounds are going to have them 5 strokes clear of the 8th spot. Just get to that match play and anything can happen.
Kuhl with a monster even par round, particularly with AdC spitting the bit a tad. Feags and Jerry have been fantastic. Jerry is a par machine, I'd would love to follow him for a round a see what makes him tick. It's time for the other senior, Gio, to have one of those rounds in the 60s that he has been apt to toss in the mix. We haven't quite been firing on all cylinders and we are still i nan enviable position.

Very nice day on Saturday! Still gotta keep playing well. We're only half way to match play.
No birdies in 36 holes is not his game. He is due for a good round. Making a run at OSU would be a huge confidence builder since they have handled us in every match we both played in. It would be nice to put a scare in them.
That was an incredible call, when I first saw that I thought it was crazy, but it was spot on.
Hope the guys shoot well today and keep it going all the way to match play.
OSU is playing a different game, they are stretching the lead out. We just started with a couple of birdies and no bogeys so lets play smart and take advantage of what the course gives us. Steady but aggressive. Anything under par is a good score. The bigger we can get the gap between us and 9th going into tomorrow will be huge.
We are coming out firing as we are -4 early and the gap between us and 9th has grew to 8 strokes. Gio with a double but Feags with two birdies to start along with a birdie for ADC and Jerry. This is what we are used to seeing.
Was calling the cut to the final 8 for match play actually so we will see. Should be pretty close still I would think.
We are playing solid. Not making mistakes and with that, we have increased our gap from 9th. Vandy playing well as they knocked us out in the match play event a few years ago. Fla St making a run. Keep this up on the front and we will be in good shape tomorrow

Sam Houston still hanging in there, but those rankings are looking really accurate. Florida State making a huge move today; we'll see if Texas can do the same in the afternoon

Would love something like a 10-stroke lead (currently it's 9) over the 9th place team heading into Monday.
And if we're then allowed to get picky, I'd like to finish 3rd thru 6th to avoid the two Oklahoma schools on Day 1 of match play. I guess we could also jump Oklahoma for 2nd and accomplish the same task.
